Hello Everyone!

I have been a lurker for awhile now, and especially years ago, however my interest in poker chips has returned stronger than ever. I just purchased my first set of decent chips here on the forum, and the addiction is already starting to kick in. I am already looking at purchasing more chips lol.

I love this forum, and everyone has been so friendly and genuine so far. This is refreshing considering some of the other forums I have been a member of ( Nonpoker related).

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to being a member of PCF. I have learned so much already, and enjoy winding down at the end of the day reading new posts and looking at photos of some really great poker chips.

Thank you! I will be sure to get some more photos. This is just one of the photos from the seller @William425. It doesn't show all of the chips, but it was a set of 750 including 200 $5's as well.

I know they aren't "High end" chips, but they are far superior to the chips that my buddies and I have been using for the longest time. I don't know why it took me so long to buy a better set, but I can already tell this is just the beginning! I love the design, and for the price, I felt like they are a wonderful value chip. Although, my next set is definitely going to have to be some Paulsons. I have maybe 30 Paulson chips, but not anything close to a playable set. I am sure that will be changing soon though! I am going to be doing some more searching before deciding on which set to go with though! I'd like to pick up a nice cash set in the near future.

Thank you for the warm welcome though!

How long has PCF been around? I remember lurking on CT and Home Poker Tourney years ago, and I was building and selling tables back then, and as I got a bit older and busier my interest slowly faded. However, after going to Vegas a couple times in the past year and playing more poker, my interest in nice chips has returned and I can tell that I am going to be adding to my collection as often as possible! I still have much to learn though, and that is one of the reasons I decided to go with a less expensive set to begin with.

Welcome, and you would be surprised where and when your next set comes from. I too was a lurker for a long time and only had dreams of a nice set. I was scrolling through Craig's list one day and ran across the deal of a lifetime on a set of almost 1000 Paulson starburst chips. I have recently bought some more to add to the set, so the sickness is bad around here.

Thank you @Kyle ! and @rowlin

Yeah, I have been browsing CL just to see if I can find a sweet deal on there but haven't had any luck so far. There was a set a few weeks ago, but I assume it has been sold. The sickness has definitely already started to kick in. @whoop84

I'm looking forward to my journey in collecting more chips, and who knows what I will end up with. I really like the Paulson Top Hat & Cane chips, but also so many others! It is going to be difficult to decide, but I will be keeping my eyes open for a good deal.

I just want to become more knowledgeable. I was at a Swap Meet on Saturday and I found a hand full of some old casino chips, although I could not identify them. The seller was asking $10 per chip and I passed on them, although I wish I had taken photos so that I could have done some research on them to see if $10 was a fair price. I am more interested in getting full sets, but I also would love to collect some rare chips to put in a display case in my poker room.

Welcome! I agree that there is a great community here on this forum. Happy to hear another chipper joining the addiction.

Welcome sir. Nice first chips... the Milanos were my first nice chips, and I still have a nice traveling tourney set that I get into use from time to time. At one point, I had 2400 of them, but currently only have 1400.

Welcome aboard!

You will make many friends, trade lots of chips, and lighten your wallet at least once a month; if not more ... during an auction or two. :D

Thank you, everyone! I appreciate the warm welcome.

It has definitely already turned into a slight addiction lol, I expect it just to get worse as I continue learning and obtain more chips!

Welcome to the forum.. always thought the Milanos were one of the better chips in their category.
I'd suggest looking for casino used Paulsons if budget is a concern (Horseshoe Clevelands are a good example).
Casino used Paulson will still last an average home user a lifetime.
