Finally did some chip harvesting last night for .25s! (1 Viewer)

I was so excited I just had to share!

Thanks to all the knowledge and good people on this forum, me and the new wife finally decided to try to go harvest some chips for our home games. We got 60 25c chips! What was most surprising is how good of shape they are in. We are going to try to get a rack or 2 of .50s from 2 different casinos this week too. One for a forum member and the other for us.

Those are amazing and not listed in the chip guide. Get back there before they change the policy and more importantly before they get used and abused. My guess is that they are brand new in the past few months.
 
That first blue quarter is really nice! You definitely wanna go back and get as many as you can. Probably will be able to 10x your money if they are somewhat easy to get.

And let's see some more pictures of the 59 others!

Does that hotstamp say GPI? As in Gaming Partners International? That's a little cheesey. Doesn't the mold count as a "makers mark" or whatever the law requires?

I just took a quick pic of the mini stack I’m shuffling while working from home. If you guys want, I can clean more and take pics when I get done!

Also: Is that an amount in cents being shown with a decimal point and a cent symbol? As in, the face value is a quarter of one cent? Sweet.

I have a feeling that Argosy Alton is about to get a paid lesson in why fracs are so uncommon at casinos.

I knew that getting fracs was supposed to be kind of hard, but the second casino (the .25s were from the third) we went to last night would have happily sold us a rack of .50s to take home, but due to regs from Covid they needed to be sanitized before they could sell us that many, and they didn’t have enough in the cage. The cage manager did tell us what days and times to come back for them to get us racks of .50s. Is that uncommon too?

Just walk up to the cage and slap down a single dollar and say "4 racks of your finest hey penny fracs please" ;)

I’m having the same issues man! The reply box just disappeared. I hit the quote button and delete the quote.

I mean, considering those chips are probably costing the casino at least a buck apiece, yeah, that's uncommon.
