if you have OCD about proper Tournament breakdown, LOOK AWAY!

I’m hosting a tourney for a friend and we’re going to have 21-22 players. can I use my current Tournament set to cover everything? should I consider other breakdowns? I recognize this isn’t ideal, just trying to make it work :confused

breakdown:
DENOMQTY IN SET DISTRIBUTIONREBUYS
T51855
T2518381
T10021263
T5007023

I think this would allow for 22 players with starting stacks of 5/8/6/2 (T1825), and also allow for roughly 10-11 rebuys.

what makes this even more unusual is that the first two blinds might have to start like this so that the 5s aren’t used hardly at all:
5/10
5/25
25/50
so on….

This is starting stack. not much to work with

Don't do rebuys, you don't have enough chips to do it properly. As for starting stacks, you can do T2k with a mixture of

10x 5
10x 25
12x 100
1x 500

and

5x 5
7x 25
8x 100
2x 500

Make as many of the first iteration for each table as your breakdown allows. This way you have the maximum number of lower denoms in play. Still not optimal, but better than everyone starting with 5x 5.

For blinds you could do 5/5, 5/10, 10/25 (followed by color-up of 5's), 25/50, etc.

This sounds about right, thank you. I’ll have to do no rebuys to make this work (or get rid of the fivers). Appreciate it

Do 18 stacks of 10/10/7/2.
19th stack can be 5/3/9/2
20th-26th stacks can be 0/0/10/2

(Remaining T500s reserved for color ups)

All total T2000

Structure
5-10
5-15
10-20
15-30
20-40
30-60
40-80

50-100
75-150
100-200
150-300

200-400
300-600
400-800
600-1200
800-1600

1000-2000
1500-3000 (probable tournament end)
2000-4000
3000-6000
4000-8000
6000-12000
8000-16000

I bit more of a "normal stack" and blind progression.

But yes, probably too tight for 22 players AND rebuys unless you come up with some quantity of T1000 chips from a different set or something

If you did a T1500 start instead of T2000 you could probably accommodate rebuys and your tournament would still end about the same level.

Good luck
