The fully leaded Paulsons produced from the around 1980 through the mid 90's are the best chips ever made, both in feel and looks. Those are my favorites.

My all time favorite has to be the Tiger Palace chip, I haven't seen a set like them anywhere else (if only they didn't cost an arm, a leg, and my firstborn). As far as decent chips to upgrade from your showplay set I really like a lot of the default designs of the Tina group buys here which might be something you could look into

Look around at the posts here and see what you like. I have a Chipco casino set and a Paulson casino set. I personally love the paulsons.Nothing like playing with actual casino chips. find what you like and built a set from there. the options are endless and it can get addicting..

...and expensive! If you're using slowplay chips, then you may be appalled at the prospect of paying $300 or much more for 100 chips. I have seen very decent Paulson chips for as low as 1.50 per chip but that is far above slowplay chips as well.
