We had reached the point in the night where she was tired of talking to meObviously, they are texting each other.
Got our hands on some spiny lobsters so it was surf and turf for dinner.

First time I did a full catch, clean and cook with shark. Was really tasty and even the kids liked it.
For the first photo, on the other thread, I instantly wondered if it became dinner!
It was really tasty and not fishy or gamey. Next time I'll cut the shark steaks a bit thinner (I did 2 inch think this time) so I can get more seasoning on it. The inside of the steak was a bit more bland than I would like.

Seared some Japanese A5 Wagyu to go with our home made hand rolls tonight.
Had a nice fishing weekend and what I catch ends up on the dinner table. Caught some sheepshead and red snapper! My first time catching either one. The red snapper was caught in state waters otherwise we wouldn't be allowed to keep it since the federal red snapper season is over.
Tonight I cooked the sheepshead. What a delicate and delicious meat. They eat shellfish mostly so the meat is sweet without a strong odor. Served with a garlic basil sauce. Saving the snapper until next weekend when my sister and her family are in town.

Not sure the weight. Size was just under 30 inches with the tail fin. Steamed for about an hour and 15 mins on the grill, finished the sauce on top.
Made teriyaki steak with sautéed onions, mushrooms and cabbage. Presentation could have been better but I was hungry and didn’t take a picture until after I started eating
