NAGB right now as a venture for profit is risky. There are a million amazing THC chips floating around. More is always interesting though.

Besides Truman and Chicken coop, wasn’t there another Custom set created and sold publicly? Sorry don’t think it was ever sold, but I’ve seen photos of it in a long thread, just can’t think of the name.

Not including the popular and well known NAGB chips.

I feel like I’m missing a cool Custom Paulson THC out there!

I am a fan of more chips and applaud all those who’ve gotten orders through. And I don’t begrudge any profits earned.

But I am skeptical anyone has ever lost money on a NAGB. Seems low risk imo.

In what way?

Tigers 3 years ago was up against more recent Tcr sales. More Paulson thcs not yet ended. Regular public sales of sought after chipsets like Jacks and IGs. Far less members to sell to. Greater (extreme?) anti flipper sentiment.

Now, Paulson chips cost more. But there are no big vendor sales. Far more chippers. No anti flipper sentiment. Public sales of anything meaningful is extremely rare, private sales and trades only. Thcs going bye bye. People murdering at a much higher rate taking chips off the market. More whales willing to pay absolute top dollar pushing people further and further from top tier sets.

Weird statement.

If that website is updated, it seems like there are a lot of unsold Tiger chips. I’m sure the pricing doesn’t help, but if they’ve been sitting for three years, yeah, that seems like a good reason to fear the market.

I feel like there were like 1 billion tigers made though, right? The newer sets I've seen seemed to have very limited runs. When supply is too high, price should come down.

Not yet but it’s getting closer as cost rises and market prices lower. Make a sizable investment and put in the work but create a shit set and the potential is there.

Not all NAGB are equal....big difference between mass orders NAGB for profit (boat chips), small group ventures motivated to get unique chips (like Harlequn, Bergs, ...) and the Tigers....

More chips is always better....if something, espec. the Tigers made a huge amount of very nice THC available for 'affordable' prices (espec. compared to prices we saw before the Tigers). If that continues with new chips coming to market via NAGB's....i'm all for that.

I’ve owned 25 different iterations of Tigers.

And I’m only kind of kidding.

There were more Tiger chips sold than hamburgers by McDonalds.

And it’s STILL impossible to get some barrels/racks.

I think the fact that there’s so few left over is indicative of how insanely well you can do with a nagb purposefully built to be appealing to the masses.

Were you not here the 12 years there were quarterly tiger releases?

Arguments on NAGB chips, Tigers and selling methods, 2-3 grail sets listed in the past 24 hours, WW's thread having a little drama that isn't he himself pissing his pants over absolutely nothing?

Is it early 2023 again?! Hype.
now....where is that putin wheel when you need it.....

my two cents (worth nothing in reality). the economy is increasingly k-shaped. the market for luxury goods is projected to grow. nagb chips (especially brand new ones), in my estimation, are a luxury good, and therefore will be fine in this increasingly k-shaped economy.

I don’t disagree.

But the question was how is a nagb venture profit so much more risky now due to thcs being available?

That statement…doesn’t make sense?

Yeah but I was over them after the first 3-day unveiling. I’m sure there are plenty of lessons to be learned from the tigers, but if I were NAGBing, I’d take my lessons from the recent @TheChipVault sets - smaller releases of simple sets that you can price reasonably is the direction I’d go.

It will be harder and harder to deliver on sets that are a 'step up' to what was offered before.
If the new stuff isn't better than what is available already....it could sit for a looooong time or has to compete on price.

The first NAGB could have slap anything on the chips,, choose random spots & colors add some IHC and still break the chip market.
Now, after 1130 NAGB's you would have to deliver something great to even move the needle... Jim did but it's not a given...
