The 2014 World Series of Poker main event kicked off today with the first of starting days. In recent years day 1A has always drawn the smallest turnout, and it was no different this time around… still 771 players posted the $10,000 buy-in hoping to walk away as the next world champ with the $10,000,000 guaranteed first-place prize in their pocket. Among the field on day 1A was none other than reigning main event champion Ryan Riess, who topped a field of 6,352 players last year to win over $8.3 million. Card Player TV caught up with him late in the day to learn how it felt to return as the defending champ.
