Reading over past threads on the topic, it seems most folks consider 100bb normal, 200bb deep, and less than 100bb short. There’s a few people who play very deep, 400bb or more, even 1000bb.
When playing deep, how does the betting change? Are opening raises higher, e.g. 10x rather than 3x? Or is betting mostly the same until someone decides to shove, and then they’re simply shoving a larger stack?
If a game is playing 500bb or 1000bb deep (meaning the typical stack is that deep, not just that one or two guys have won or bought huge stacks), isn’t that essentially playing without blinds?
What are the pros on TV doing sitting there with thousands or tens of thousands of bb piled up in front of them?
