Custom vs Casino (1 Viewer)

It's weird, I've seen alot (including me) go thru this exact same journey. In the end, having our own unique chips we made seem to take over and be the real grail.

And I'll say on my end, all my customs will be staying here sans a few of the oddballs. And I'll keep adding until I can't. And when I die, @Saoliver will auction them for the kiddo. And he will keep the (Now 1900 total) Westworlds.
Don’t die you ornery pecker head!! Hahaha. Where would I be without those angry faces showing up on my posts haha!!!

FWIW My journey has found me narrowed to 8 sets of all different sizes and use. Each set has a specific meaning, from a casino me and a murdered friend enjoyed to TRKs I fell in love with and landing on a custom card mold set that I LOVE. I’ve been through chips of most of the scam chips (nagbgb blah blah) and hate them all. They’re not from a real casino and they’re over priced knowing what they were bought for and over rated (my opinion only). And all the Indiana Ohio and the like chips are also blah. The one relabel of random Indiana’s will soon be my riviera tribute set that has real fracs and $1’s and re label the rest. “Nirvana” is individual to the chipper. I know I’m almost there. You’re chips have to speak to you and give you joy! One man’s $200 rack may bring the same or better joy than another $3000 rack. If they bring you joy then keep em around.

I’m also a believer that any chip should be played because what good is a set you keep stashed away for eternity and never play!???

And may I also say that poker chips as an investment……. Bad investment as more can surface at any moment for a lot of chips. Hoards everywhere!!

CPC sets are the most rewarding. Knowing that you’ve created a one of a kind set is incredible. A CPC set is essentially a work of art that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world. It’s impossible to compete with that feeling IMO.
Also, my newest custom box was finished today which adds to the beauty of an overall custom set vs real casino chips. I would never consider having something like this built for a casino set.

Being not rich, I had to make choices and thin down my collection.
I only have one custom-overlabelled THC set (originals include both NAGB and casino chips).

The rest are or are going to be three CPC custom sets. Two on the A mold (one Nevada, one Cali) and one HHR hot-stamped.
I sold fantasy Paulsons and even historic, leaded, best-sounding Paulsons for the sake of making my customs.
I 'm more of a visual guy anyway, and making something unique of your own is what proved out to be of true importance to me.

 I a relatively new chipper, reading all the veterans experiences are very enticing

I think your collection really speak for your personality ; if you are a guy like me that like variety and rotation of sets & also a sucker for budgeted deal. You Iikely ended up with a lot of budgeted cost set of different types (ASM, RHC, THC, Leaded Clay, Card Mold Ceramics, 43mm Ceramics, B&G) but not custom set
