One of the regulars in my 1-2 game is a wildly aggressive LAGtard. He is the kind of guy who wants to gamble and is happy taking the worst of it to get a shot at a big win. I call him "Crazy" in my strategy posts.

Last session "Crazy" is coming late to the game having missed out on several prior session. It has been close to a month with no poker. He has spent the day at the office, followed by a five hour Jr. High track meet and the family dinner driving home. Add it all up and he is going to be three to four hours late. We will be playing roughly seven hours.

One of the other players offers three even money prop bets:

1. Crazy will be felted and rebuy on his first or second hand.
2. Crazy will rebuy at least twice in the first ten hands.
3. Crazy will rebuy at least seven times in the session.

Any guesses how the prop bets turned out?

I'm tempted to guess no to all three.

If Bet 1 was that he would be all-in on one of his first two hands, then I think it's nearly a sure thing. But to be felted requires that he go all-in and be called or call somebody else's all-in (and lose). In other words, "it takes two to tango." Could easily take more than two hands. For similar reasons, I'd lean against Bet 2. As to Bet 3, we need to remember that Crazy will occasionally get hot, and the other players will be the ones who are re-buying. Obviously, as will nearly all bets, it could go either way, but I would bet against all three.

All of that said, I want to play in this game when Crazy shows up locked and loaded.

First prop . . .

Crazy buys in for the minimum, $60. He goes all-in blind before he has sat down (ie his first hand) and gets two callers. Crazy holds ATo but whiffs and loses. First bet goes yes, he will be felted and rebuy before his third hand.

For what it is worth, I took the second prop. I win if Crazy makes it ten hands without rebuying twice. My confidence is already shaken.

Second prop bet . . .

Crazy gets busted the second time on his 4th hand by Hero - Hero got Crazy's stack but has to pay off the prop bet.

Last prop bet. . . .

Crazy gets his 7th rebuy fifteen minutes before the game breaks.

So the guy offering the props wins all three of them.

I am curious, what is the buy in at this game that crazy is rebuying 6 times?

I am more curious about if the Dr has ever called Crazy, crazy to his face instead of his actual name.

The buy in for the game is $60 minimum, "match the biggest stack" max.

Crazy bought for 60, 120, 60, 120, 300, 300, 300 or $1,260 total. There have been nights where Crazy bought in for the minimum 10+ times (plus bigger ones later in the night).

Yes, Hero has used "crazy" at the table, in the most affectionate way.

This looks like a guy I want to invite to a game, even if I have to buy him a ticket!

Think of all the chips you could buy with him at your table. I'd start mocking a CPC set in his honor. How about Crazy's Cash Cow Casino?
