Doing 5x or 10x or that stuff is very confusing to me as well, and when I'm spending thousands on a great set of hips I'm gonna make sure the denoms speak for themselves. Thats high on my list of priorities at least!

Add then the fact that fracs are almost always solids and somewhat boring (imo), so ditching them for other spotted chips are quite an upgrade almost always. Higher denoms also often have a bit more complicated spots which I also like. I realize that when it comes to an actual Paris set getting legit higher denoms is obviously out of the question, and I agree that the Paris inlay is very pleasing. But maybe you should consider looking for another set if you prefer to have original inlays rather than relabels. In any case I would much prefer to ditch the fracs, and rather relabel some other THC chips for the higher end of your set instead. Or get another set completely, like Indiana Grand (or another recent-ish chiproom offering), although they are completely different and RHC, but at least you'll get matching condition among all the denoms, real inlays, matching mold, and you'll be able to take advantage of some of the cool higher denoms, like the oversized blaze orange $1ks.

My favorite chip in my line up is the blue dollar with four simple white spots. I really like the simple spot patterns and the fact that its a live thc from a Vegas casino. I agree with a lot of things you said though about it causes less confusion if $25 = 25 NOK and so on.

I have had a couple of rhc sets with that system and then the $25 and $100 chip becomes the workhorse. And it is easier, no doubt. But my game consists of the same group of people pretty much everytime so they got used to it after a few orbits.

And dont get me wrong, I am really happy with my set as is. This is part of the fun for me. Tinkering with with a few of the denoms and trying out different chips.

Will hold on to my Paris $1 and $5s for now and play around with the other denoms. First on the list is getting some fracs I like. Most likely relabeled ballys(? White base blue spots) Inverted colors of the Paris $1.

Just hope I like relabeled chips better this time

I see. Probably not an issue with your group then. And agree, for sure part of the fun is tinkering with lineups and such! I also love the Paris $1. I do have 2 racks in my drawer although I dont have a set to use them with. But just because they are so nice.

And going with Bally's as a frac is a nice option as well. Several others have used the ballys and paris $1s like that before as well. I actually have almost 2 racks of them that I'd probably sell you if you want them. We can take that to PMs if you wanna go for that option!

So turns out my group is not great at math after all and the whole theory of playing every denom as 10x did not work great

Did not help that we had a couple of new players as well.

Recently went to Barcelona and really liked it so started to design an inlay with a barcelona theme. Had really no intention of using it for overlabeling my Paris chips but after ordering some labels from stickermule and not hating it that is the current plan. Paris 1s as €25s, Paris 5s as €100s and ballys 1s as €5.

Have only ordered one denom(25) as I wanted to see how it looked and felt before commiting. But I do think the Paris $5 is perfect for a barcelona themed set.

I'd use the Bally's as fracs, keep the original $1's and 5$ and add some 43mm semi customs like in the second picture.

EDIT: I see, that you are going into a different direction. Anyway, these chips / colors might match with your ideas, too.

Went ahead and made some more denoms from sticker mule and this is how it looks now:

Messed up the sizing on the 100 denom. Wanted a bit smaller than the 25s because they are a hair too big but ended up going too small. Oh well… Might order a new batch and fix it if I decide sticking with these chips for a while.

Sticker mule is great to work with and really generous with the amounts of stickers they send you. A couple of the denoms I ordered had almost double the amount of labels compared to what I ordered.

Overlabels yes. I had a few spinners on the 25 denom thats why I tried to go smaller on the 100. But nothing major. It think its a combination of a few of the blue dollars dont have a perfectly round inlay and sloppy execution on my part when applying them
