Yes if you want to wait a couple years….Does this mean I can close my CPC wanted ad?![]()
For me it’s the only game. I’m the rare member here only interested in custom chips. I own 23 year old custom ASMs but may want another custom clay set at some point and they are the only game in town. My ASMs are from the era when you could only order 312 edge spots in one color. That always left me feeling a little unsatisfiedTo me, CPC customs have always come across as end-game for 99% of people here; getting to show what you've decided is your favorite style/colors/combinations and putting it altogether with a fun and/or unique personal theme.
The folks guessing about price increases is an obvious question but I’m much more interested to see if/how much the chips have changed. Not necessarily a concern about “quality” but for such a bespoke process I wonder how much changing the machinery has affected the end result.add to the one I have made many years ago
Oh yeah those are DEFINITELY mine....right?....
@Pippa try the following for that butt hurt….

I don't think so either, but even if he was, you're supposed to use the way funnier butt-hurt meme.I don’t think @Pippa is butt hurt.
Impossible to truly tell from a pic online, but given that grain of salt it looks close to prior chips:
I think this will come to light pretty quickly once folks start receiving their orders, there are several of us with add-on orders to existing sets in the queue. The folks guessing about price increases is an obvious question but I’m much more interested to see if/how much the chips have changed. I know previous ownership cared deeply about trying to maintain consistency and access to old molds for add ons. Will be interesting if that’s changed
I didn't imply that he had ill will. I don't know Pippa, and give him the benefit of doubt that he is a good dude.
This is the main reason I put in a final order with CPC prior to the move ...I am adding on 100% of a set. I am mildly afraid of the mismatch, but ... It was better than cancelling and re ordering at a markup a year from now.Impossible to truly tell from a pic online, but given that grain of salt it looks close to prior chips:

Gotcha. And your "butt hurt" gif was a welcome addition to my day.I didn't imply that he had ill will. I don't know Pippa, and give him the benefit of doubt that he is a good dude.
But this is a great day to see chips being pressed again! We should all be excited to see this! His snide comments are not needed/welcome. He got his refund. I am happy for him. Now he needs to move on. Let all of us who are still vested have our time.
@Pippa I wish you all the best!

Because my chips are 23 years old …if I ever added on I think I would send them samples of my old chips and let them tell me how close them could get before I pulled the trigger. Their clay mix recipes (for lack of a better descriptor) may not have changed, but their suppliers for the ingredients may have changed or the ingredients themselves may have changed overtime. The folks guessing about price increases is an obvious question but I’m much more interested to see if/how much the chips have changed. On my last conversation with @CPC_MikeI didn't imply that he had ill will. I don't know Pippa, and give him the benefit of doubt that he is a good dude.

It’s all different. Supplier shifting things, their machinery changing, their process changing. When only a few people in the world do something it’s very consistent and very inconsistent, right?Because my chips are 23 years old …if I ever added on I think I would send them samples of my old chips and let them tell me how close them could get before I bulled the trigger. Their clay mix recipes (for lack of a better descriptor) may not have changed, but their suppliers for the ingredients may have changed or the ingredients themselves may have changed overtime.
Hell, I did add on in early 2004 …only a year after, the red ink in the labels was slightly different ….mostly unnoticeable…but it’s there.
I’m still happy with my decision![]()
No regrets!!!!!!!
This. Looking for my first set of Rounders CSQ!!!Anyone hear anything from Mike about stock design availability?
Anyone hear anything from Mike
Don’t think anyone even has a clue what mold is kicking things off. Regardless of order/sequence, do we have a full list of molds that didn’t make the Maine cutoff?Has anyone received any yet?
