CPC Move Updates (14 Viewers)

I'll be surprised if the price increase is that low, if/when they reopen. I'm guessing an increase for sure, and that @BigGrizz number of 15-20% is where the o/u line should be set.

McDonald's large drink where I live has gone from 1.00 to 1.29 to 1.49 to 1.69 over the last 18 months.

I anticipate the CPC increase when they reopen will not be insignificant.

Is there any more info on the 'group buys'of paulson? Am eager to learn a bit more but hard to find info.

They are not easy to pull off since Paulson/GPI/Angel typically only deals with licensed operations. The trick is playing the games and jumping through the hoops to get a license while keeping the entire project under wraps (so Paulson doesn't tank your order midstream and admonish you for sneaking through their security protocols).

The basics / 101:
  1. Get a gaming/casino license somehow (gotta figure that part out on your own).
  2. Design and order the chips you want.
  3. Bring in bros to max out the order and get multiples of sets for resale at higher prices later to help cover your initial investment.
  4. Tell everyone involved to keep their mouths shut for a solid 12-18 mo.
  5. Publicly unveil and enjoy the chips.

Right? I'm no MBA, but this guy has to have spent a lot to move this operation - how is he going to recoup that? Combine that with the inflation we've seen since the last time CPC raised prices, and if he waits much longer to reopen, all the additional inflation we'll see due to the soaring costs of diesel? Who knows, but I'm taking the over on 20%.

And that's not even accounting for the significant COL increase the PNW has compared to the rest of the country.

I'm with you on it being over 20%.

It’s for sure going up this much

As of January 1, 2026, Washington state has a higher minimum wage at $17.13 per hour, while Maine's state minimum wage is $15.10 per hr.
Washington currently holds one of the highest state-level minimum wages in the country.

@Tommy, @mods, @CPC_Mike

Please for all thats holy close or clean up this vendor thread as it 25 pages of memes & spam and absolutely no information on the CPC Move.

@CPC_Mike, @Classic_Giraffe just close this thread and open another one but limit the comments to just any update from you guys.

This is just become the most dissappointing thread that gets bumped, trashed, crapped on & hijack and has nothing to do with "Move Updates"

“there’s no information on the CPC move about the CPC move!”

Yeah, I don’t think your issue is necessarily with pcfers, maybe more with the vendor…

If this is the most disappointing thread on all of PCF, I can pm you a couple links. There’s some good reads.

(And while I disagree with Tater, I 1000% love that he called out his opinion publicly instead of just going through and reporting comments - honestly, not sarcasm)

Concerned about the ratio of substantive comments about CPC in the thread? Have you considered the merits of addition by addition instead of addition by subtraction? If only there was someone who could do something about that…

To be a vendor you have to sell something
I mean there’s the 5 guys who all they do is buy lots off PCF and sell the pieces here for upcharge.

I’m not dogging them, I appreciate when they bring something I need I suppose. But they interact and provide 0 other posts or interactions here.

“Vendor” is pretty meaningless across all of PCF as far as definition or requirements.

It's my turn to spam the thread.

I'm about to spend my chip money on Mother's Day gifts, say it ain't so!

Its been well over a year since they've been able to take a single order...

Email from Mike just now:

I'm quite pleased - and relieved - to announce that our new factory in Woodinville, Washington is operational and we have begun work on the outstanding orders. I know its been a painful experience for all of us and I appreciate your patience and understanding. When we have the factory running at full production in a few weeks we'll begin taking new orders. Any new orders will not be manufactured until all current orders are complete.

Great news @CPC_Mike! Best of luck with the new era of Classic Poker Chips! Can’t wait to see all of the new chips start rolling out to the masses.

Not getting anyone excited, but does that DG Green look a bit more robust than previous in the attached photo?

Fantastic news. Chipping without any new influx of CPC sets hasn't been the same. To me, CPC customs have always come across as end-game for 99% of people here; getting to show what you've decided is your favorite style/colors/combinations and putting it altogether with a fun and/or unique personal theme. Not to mention, having to work within the confines of certain colors and edge-spots as to rely more on design versus just slapping ol' reliable on every denom as a crutch, which we would probably see more of with, say, Paulson opening up to the home market (which I'm not against, of course).

Excited to see what y'all have come up with!
Well, most of you. Some of you suck and should feel bad.

Of course, there's still time for Mike to see the comments in this thread since the last time he was here and say, "screw you guys, I'm going home".
