CPC Move Updates (3 Viewers)

I've got more invested in this company than all of you combined.

Just set a reminder once a week on Monday with a 1-2 sentence update for us. I swear it’ll make everyone here more content. You can do it while you’re taking a shit. I swear you’ll feel better too (insofar as calming us down, not the dump part).

@BarrieJ3
only some will get this

Yes, actually I am worried about losing my money. I have an approximately $6k order in and have no way to know if the new owner burned all of his capital in the move and has no way to actually reopen the doors or hire staff. Maybe permits weren’t received because xyz factors and now he’s in bankruptcy trying to shed these assets. Maybe everything is ok. But we have no way to know because there is no transparency beyond the generic “should be up and running in about 30 days.” Things happen to businesses all the time, so yes I am 100% worried…

As I said, a little communication with the forum that will drive his business goes a long way. I don’t care how busy things got as I’m sure most of us would not have placed the order in the first place knowing that they would break their promise of producing all pre cutoff orders at old factory.

@Pippa let us know if you hear anything back on your refund request.
I understand. And you're right, at this point there is no way to know if things have gone sideways and now he's unable to open at all. It is most certainly a risk. And the lack of communication is pathetic and unacceptable.

But you're still misquoting him. At no point did he say he “should be up and running in about 30 days.”

The main mistake in all of this was moving the machinery before completing every last order taken. We all feared the move, every last member that was here for the Red years knew how delicate setting up in a new shop was going to be, except for Mike I think. Just telling it like it is, JimB isn’t around to save you this time @CPC_Mike. Good Luck buddy, we are all watching.

At no point did he say he “should be up and running in about 30 days.”

i searched through this thread out of curiosity and don't see anything like that either. and in mike's defense, i also found the following 2 quotes:

it's going to be messy until we're done

I don't like to give out too many updates

so if you're willing to read between the lines, he's delivering as promised.

that said, i do agree that even tiny, minor updates go a loooong way with people when you are holding their money. long period of silence leads to people assuming the worst and lashing out accordingly.

Maybe communications happen about orders outside of the forum?

I have seen that and still question your interpretation. But at this point, let's agree to disagree and put it to bed. I'm just happy that Mike gave an update today, and hopefully a lesson has been learned and he'll attempt to do better with communication going forward.

Mike, thanks for the reply. Please call your landlord tomorrow and push on the plumbing situation, but also email him so we have receipts. Then let me know his cell number and I will call him to force the plumbing issue because you likely did not push hard enough.

Please provide an update tomorrow on the plumbing regardless so I can tell you how your approach is wrong.

Communication is the key.

Perhaps half of any angst here could have been prevented had Mike simply chimed in a bit more often rather than letting the denizens eat static.

Regardless, I look forward to CPC being back online. I have a set of blanks I want them to produce that will ultimately become hotstamps.

Stop being so defensive lol and reign in your self awareness lol

Nonetheless thx for the update! Hope you get everything squared away with your landlord…best of luck! Looking forward to all the chip pr0n!
Apparently it was. He has so much more invested than you/us combined (wtf kind of comment is that) and it’s out of his control other than he picked his landlord and where he decided to move his equipment to lol
