Here he goes again, mr undecided. I posted earlier about adding a 1k to my CPC set, but have now scratched that idea.

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/cpc-carmel-casino-adding-a-1k.80647/

Playing with the set I have realized that making a 20-chip instead of a 25-chip was a huge mistake. I dislike it a lot. I thought it wouldn’t make much difference and figured I’d get used to it. Wrong.

So, the new idea is to make a 25-chip and simply order more of the 500 to future proof the high end. It’s a lot more exciting than making a 1k chip as the 25-chip will see plenty of play. I have 400 x 5s and I can probably use the 20s together with them to play 10/20 limit so that they’re not completely wasted. I have come up with some stuff I like but figured it’d be foolish to not ask for suggestions here. Pretty sure I want arc yellow and bright white in there but I am up for anything. I don’t worry too much about traditional chip colors.

Please don’t tell me when the next scrown cut off is if you know. I don’t wanna rush it. Deadline will be next price increase at new years.

Thanks so much for any input you might have!

Top 3d14 or making it 4d14 is calling to me here. Maybe peach over arc yellow, but not saying that's better, just worth considering as well. Lavender base is definitely better than white (to me at least).

Lavender is my favorite base color as well and I really like the 3d14. Only concern is breaking the spot pattern, but I think it fits nicely anyway. Will try a 4d14 too

May I ask. What specific you don't like about the $20?
What Blinds do you play?

Mostly 2/5 or 5/5 (SEK) and sometimes 1/3.
I always count barrels as 500 and I suck at constructing bets. A 75 bet is three chips, damn it (no murica, it’s not 15 chips).

Yeah after looking more the x12 progression would be hard to break; it flows really well (options 2 and 3).

Wasn’t particularily excited with 2 and 3, which is why I started fooling around with 3d14. Using the 3V12 spots, I like option 9 best

For openers I like these chips very much!! Everytime I see them though I always say the same thing in my head: a palm tree? (The famous Carmel by the sea tree is a cypress)

I know, totally not the feedback you were looking for but I just couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore, sorry!

Great chips & great set. Good luck completing it!

Fair enough, where the hell were you when the inlays were being designed? :ROFLMAO:

I think this one offers the best harmony in colours, and the spot progression works well IMO.

What's the plan for the 20s?

That is my favorite as well, right now. You have to actually read my wall of text, you know ;)

I will still buying chips on eBay...MY BAD!! I live near Carmel & have visited many times. (Laguna Seca is really close as well)

I doubt anyone in Sweden will know the difference!

I think 20 is recommended for blinds like 25c/25c as the fourth denom/ the big chip to rebuy.

I dislike the white options

I do like

I gotta say after playing these at you meetup the $20s were probably my favourite. (Admittedly the $5 might be equally as nice). I didn't have a problem with them in play, but you know better of course if you can't get used to it. Sucks to see them go. I do love the lavendel options you've posted for a $25 though, so I'm sure the alternative will be great as well.

My favorite among your mock ups is the first one.

They won’t but I should’ve thought of that. Oh well, these aren’t the end game. @JP1984 has inspired me to do a 1/4-pie at some point. Will probably be later than sooner but still

Might make a semi decent limit set then

If you are going with the Carmel theme again I have a few ideas/suggestions!

A ver simple solution would be to have labels made with a $25 denomination and remove the $20 inlay.

Hmm not completely unreasonable. But my babies wouldn’t be ”whole”. Worth considering though, thank you
