The thank yous in the mail showcase thread are a bit much. If somebody sent you something for free, or if they sold you the last chip you needed to fill a rack, sure, thanks all around. But when somebody lists chips for sale and you buy them - I think you can spare the rest of us the thank you.

This is why I’ve never been impressed by Krish’s collection.

It’s easy when you have “unlimited” funds and pay someone to search chips for you.

He has some impressive sets sure, but it’s easy when someone else takes the time for you

The other thing he had going for him, aside from "unlimited" funds was an apparent willingness to spend those funds recklessly. Once people realized he was willing to pay double, triple, or more, he had sellers coming to him.

Actually, there are times when that pisses me off. If I'm walking across a parking lot and some Johnny Do Well stands there holding the door for me, I feel obligated to speed up, so he doesn't have to stand there waiting for me. But maybe I don't want to speed up. I'm perfectly capable of opening a door myself, so why not just let me do it?

Also goes for the people that clearly got to the stop sign before you and then wave you through.
The wave gets ever more aggressive the longer you wait to go. Like they are being nice by letting you go then getting angry that you are not appreciative of their kindness LMAO

Great question. Generally, it's a single thank you. But pretty ladies may get that second thank you.

That's easy...They hold the first door for me and I enter, then I open and hold the second door for them. Instant karma.

If there are two sets of doors, you alternate who holds it. I prefer to have the first door held for me, so I can say "Thank you" and then "My turn" when I get to the second door first and hold it open.

If the other person is holding the door behind him as he walks through, and does in fact hold both of them, I give him a "Thank you" and a "Thank you again."

That is why, if I wave someone through, and they don't move, I pick up my cellphone. I don't have to aggressively wave when I'm passively saying "I'm going to be here a bit"

I get a lot of slack about the Tiger hot stamp denoms being too small (I love the chips). I mean wtf, the colours are distinct and the denoms don't change. I've heard it from multiple players multiple times.

By far the favorite chips are my custom relabels which I don't play enough because I need to add more T1M chips

Funny story I got into a face to face altercation a few months ago over non denomination chips haha

Dude was blasted drunk and he kept making mistakes with my blue and red chips. He couldn’t grasp the blues were $1 and red $5. Happened maybe 3-4x and it was innocent. His friend beside him would help fix it but the dealer was getting a bit irritated.

I asked him if he was color blind. I was genuinely curious if my chips were a bit difficult to tell the difference. Haha he took it as me insulting him. Boy did he blow a gasket it. Host stepped in and kicked him out immediately! Haha it was hilarious.

Came here to answer this. I have friends who have complimented my custom chips say "Oh shit the chips have denoms on them" halfway through the session.

Lol this reminds me back when the folks I played with use dice chips... dude wearing sunglasses "mistakenly" uses black $100 chips to raise instead of dark green "$25s" and pretended he didnt mean to do it with the big chips lol. Angled me into raising his what seemed to be abnormally large raise with my 2pair when he had the straight lol.
