Even after taking some home and cleaning them for collectors sake, I don’t like em. A bit of an eye sore and don’t feel good to play around with.

That's why it good to have sample to know what you like and dislikes.

I not disagreeing with you, i just thinks it apply to all chips

I find it quite common that tournaments are run that way, as well as having only 80-100 fracs for a CG table. I just wanted to get this off my chest as I hate making change every hand!

Hot take: I fucking love cash bundles on the table and used to love when hundo bills played at Mohegan Sun’s 2/5 years ago. Something about flipping in cash into a pot just feels primal.

Cash bundles have been a dud everytime I’ve tried them with the northeast folks, sadly.

Cash doesn't play anymore at 2/5? It's been a while, that was my home for 7 years. 5/10 also? Is it a law or they just do away with it?

4800 and 5800 are shaped differently. The 4800 is a bit wider but the 5800 is deeper. The 4800 has latches on the side too, while the 5800 only uses front latches. I prefer the 5800 because of the dolly system since both are very heavy when full. But the 5800 cost almost double

At least you keep it in the correct color family.

.25 is a green 25. Without a £25 chip there is no confusion. If you added on, I would suggest a £20 instead of a £25.
Purple is equal parts blue and red, so a purple £5 is fine. That's also why the typical T500 is purple.
You went with a brown dime, so the orange £1 fits.

A 200,000 chip set sale from Jim isn’t necessarily a mass amount of chips. Rare is grossly misstated in the poker hobby world from singles to sets.

Someone finds a rack of a chip somehow it’s not rare anymore?

Or how about some really great sets like JD and PCA. From my understanding there was 180-250K of them each respectively and both very well received.

Assume 20% are $5s = 40,000 $5 chips (most universal workhorse)

Assume 10 collectors build out two table sets
10 x 1000 $5s = 5,000 gone

40 people build average sets
40 x 400 $5s = 16,000 gone

That’s half the inventory. Some get lost in the shuffle, some get inserted into mixed sets, whatever, just double the above.

100 people have a JD/PCA set nationwide.

200k I would argue isn't even medium sized. It's mid to small.

My isle ceramic buy was 150,000 chips. And that's just a part of a part of that buy.

Yeah well you're also the poster known to require a bananas number of 5s lol, of course you pick them as an example! Some people don't need that many racks, and even if they did, you've just listed 50 collectors who purchased many racks for their sets; is there much market past those 50 people? I'm relatively new, just poking around the numbers.

Not saying they're bad or not valuable, but those 50 are some of the most dedicated collectors. I think we're such a small portion of the people playing poker worldwide, that if there's 100 people with 400 + chips, I do see that as a lot. I'm new to the "whats rare" convo and obviously don't have a horse in the race.

And In Theory, out of the 100 people that have 400+ chip at least half of them is make up of flippers
