Idk if most people like or dislike housemolds, but me say housemolds = best mold.

Don’t tell me everyone likes thc the most because this site secretly houses many men with a cane or top hat fetish. If it wasn’t ubiquitous and a Paulson thing, it wouldn’t be the most sought after.

Right in the trash alongside snifters and jockeys and every other hyper specific themed mold that the label/design has nothing to do with. +1 point when they’re used well.

I don’t do TRK (95% trash, 5% amaze balls but artificially made dumb expensive), but various crown molds ain’t bad either.

This photo demonstrates perfectly both the high and low of house molds. The Aladdin chip is spectacular. The stylized script plus the lamp equals a huge win. Also having an outer ring.

But the Silverton mold, and others like it that simply state the casino name in plain block letters? Butt ugly.

Hmm I’m realizing that maybe HS + HM is particularly prone to ugliness? Everything coming to mind is far from my favorite. Maybe it’s too much texturally going on. Maybe it’s all the extra white space but then the complexity of the HM. Hmmmmmmm

I don't necessarily disagree with the sentiment, but if the inserts and inlay/hot-stamp are strong or hot enough they can make up for that and create a more unique look versus just another THC chip. Of course, such exceptions are probably more rare than not, especially in quantity, but I think the below is one of them, as an example.

I think the distinction more so lies with new-gen house molds being more akin to RHCs in their ring/inner-clay sizing, versus the older ones being more like THCs in those same aspects, although the latter still needs to nail the inserts and inlay to not hit the "low".
