So will they be for sale Black Friday as well? Revealing the price at the start of the sale seems to be a new strategy. Don’t want people to plan, just impulse buy?
First I want to say thank you to everyone who has been following this thread and to @allforcharity for your help. I completely agree with the sentiment posted above and want to apologize for how we timed everything. The chips are still in transit and should be here next Monday or Tuesday which is why no pictures were posted. Yes, this thread should have waited about a week. Having said that both @allforcharity and I would like to share the following information and thank you for your continued patience.

THE STORY SO FAR....
The Big Easy Casino was a supposed to be a day cruise casino boat operating out of Florida, but it never actually operated. We procured the chips from a businessman who, in his own words, “personally removed these chips from the casino vault from boxes labelled ‘New Chips’”. They have been stored in a climate controlled warehouse ever since.
When I saw the chip face for the first time, I immediately knew they were legitimate. Shortly after joining the forum almost a couple years ago, I had seen this exact inlay on a series of roulette chips from an owner of a dealer school (also in Florida) who got a significant portion of his chips from other local day cruise operations that had gone out of business. I also recognized the mold pattern from some chips that were on offer last year by another forum vendor, so could immediately pin them down as Bud Jones. Target acquired!

THE CHIPS
These are premium injection molded plastic chips made by GPI from the Bud Jones S2 line for the Big Easy Casino, Riviera Beach, Florida. They are either brand new or quite lightly played, as the casino was never actually opened to the public. They are cash chips in denominations of $1, $2.50, $5, $25, $100, and $500. There were no other chips (tournament, roulette, etc.) available as part of this acquisition.
I have proof that there were clay chips made for this casino, though I don’t know where the rest may have ended up, or if there are any clay tournament chips out there somewhere. Certainly, the previous owner did not know, either.

The chips being offered have been organized into mixed-denom cash sets of 500 chips each and tournament-appropriate sets of 320 chips each, which maximizes their playability while working with the total inventory by denomination that was available. These breakdowns have been made to ensure that things can be sorted, repacked, and shipped in an efficient and predictable manner, and that helps to keep the overall price as low as we can.
BASE CASH SET - 500 chips
multiples may be purchased

100x $25
At least 1 Base Cash Set must be ordered before any Add-On sets or A-La-Carte chips may be purchased. This set could be used to play $1/$2 cash stakes or perhaps a smaller $1/$3 game. Combine with your choice of fracs to expand the range to the stakes you wish to play. Bank = $3700.
TOURNAMENT SET - 320 chips
max. 2 sets per household

20x $500
20x $1 which can be used as T1K
As a tournament set, this can accommodate 10 players in a T2K starting stack with extra chips for optional top-ups or rebuys. Purchase a second set to accommodate a second table. This can also be used as a High Stakes Cash Set especially if combined with a Base Cash Set. Want to play a full table of $5/$10 with 200BB? Here's your chance. Bank = $21020.
LIMIT GAME ADD-ON - 500 chips

Later tonight, I will be moving @Potsie1 's previous post and my previous post above to the OP, so that everybody can see where it is without looking through pages of speculation. The composition of the sets are still a work in progress, but this should be enough to let people start thinking and planning.

@allforcharity , am I reading it right that a limit set may only be ordered as an add on order when a cash set is purchased? No stand alone orders for the 500 chip limit set?
