Sold Chip Pick: 316pc Lcrown BPOE 1724 (1 Viewer)

Ok, so I'm going outside of the box on this one, so please bear with me.

Up for sale are 316 TRK Long Crown (lcrown) chips from the 40's. They are from BPOE Elks Lodge 1724 in Laguna Beach CA (link to BPOE chips). The breakdown is 208 green $0.25 chips and 108 white $0.25 chips

I also went on antiquegamblingchips.com and emailed Robert Eisenstadt (guy who created the mold bible) and he doesn't even own any of these. He offered me $15 for 1 of each color and said that most CA chip hobbyists would want a set.

In terms of condition, these chips look like they are from a sunken ship. Dirty, rusted looking, and several are warped. I can't envision using these in a playable set (though they do shuffle), rather purely for collector purposes. I figure this is more of a Chipboard thread, but I know some of you belong to the CC&GTCC, so if you need a ton of trade bait for conventions, now could be your opportunity.

In terms of price, I have no idea. I don't even know if anyone else owns chips from this lodge. I'm not looking to split, so please PM me if you have interest.

Great question. I thought that too. I tried to scrape off some color and I could not. I certainly could be mistaken, but it didn't seem like the greens were painted (looked more like a rust/stain).
