Hi,

Hope this is the right place. I am going to order a custom made ceramic set. I want to host some homegames, limits varying: 50NL, 100NL, 200NL. Blinds 25cts/50cts, 50cts/1euro and 1euro/2euro.

What would be a good distribution if I want to play 6-8 max with unlimited rebuys to cover all these limits? It will be a set of 750 chips. I was thinking something like:

25cts: 100
50cts: 100
1euro: 100
2euro: 100
5euro: 100
10euro: 100
25euro: 100
50euro: 50

I would add a couple of plaques of 100 and 200 to put on the table if people rebuy.

Do you think a distribution like this would work? Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!

I would say lose the 50c, 2, 10, and 50. Double up just about everything else, maybe a barrel or two of the 100

This is an awful breakdown, beloved, and thats okay cause we all start somewhere. @triton Is right, start at that link and you can adjust based on your game, but 100s down the line is not the way.

That thread really helps, thanks for the suggestion! Though foor 50NL only 100 25cts seems low if you don't have 50cts right? How would you pay for the big blind after a couple of rebuys? Just change a 1 for 4x25cts with another player or something?

From what I’ve seen opinions are split on the matter of 100 vs 200 francs. That just tells me that it depends on things like the style of your game/players, your budget, etc. 100 is definitely workable.

Sorry, accidentally hit reply. I chose to go with 200 but that doesn’t mean you have to. 100 is totally workable.

I would not do that. Way too many denominations that won't play well together.

For 750 set, covering those stakes, I would get something like:

0.25 x100-200
1 x200
5 x200-300
25 x100
100 x50

The bank is ~9k and should hold up for a reasonable 1/2 game. If you are considering plaques, then I'd get at least 50x €100 and then get maybe 50x more 25 chips to beef up the bank a little more.

Yeah players will rebuy and you'll give them just big chips. They can easily get change from another player or the dealer.

The idea is to put all the quarters you'll need for the night in play right away, and all the ones right away or soon after. Those won't ever leave the table they'll just keep circulating. Rebuys will be fives and eventually 25s.

100 quarters is enough. Some like more. More than 200 on the table for a .25/.50 NL game is just too many.
