Chip Display Cases... ON SALE NOW at Michaels (3 Viewers)

Nice, haven't seen this one. I have a number of larger casino Paulson's samples, and these often have 8-10 chips in a set, with secondaries, etc... I often just use two rows. In some instances, I'll just do 5 on one row, and 4 on the other.

My wife called from Michaels. This larger version doesnt have that groove to rest the chips in. I decided to opt for 2X the 8 inch version. Let the chip collecting begin. TY guys for fuelling my addiction......

I will probably be reducing my single chips soon! Possibly only collecting LV chips and limited customs! Although this sale always gets me wanting to expand my singles!

Do you prefer sets?

Wife got home. They look great but are small! I wonder if I shouldn't have got 3?

Had these in my cart for two days debating between 4, 6 or 8 of them. Just checked and it told me only 4 left. Made my decision easy. I bet this forum bought out their supply!

On a side note, I just got done consolidating/rotating my chip display cases. I can tell you that I was able to get up to 7 chips (in some rare instances) into the rows, with slight overlapping,.. They were still able to nestle into the channel, and are fairly secure. 6 works better, and 5 across is perfect. 7 looks a tad crowded, but you can see the chips just fine. I just found that I had a number of sets with 6 or 7 chips in them, and wanted them to be on the same row.

Most of my displayed chips are custom sets and casino sets. I had dedicate 3+ cases to individual chips I've collected $1's, $5's, $25's and $100's from misc casinos. 5 of my cases are ASM/CPC custom sets, or Paulson casino sample sets. I'll have to go through and snag some pics of the chips, and post.

I feel very fortunate to have accumulated so many fine sample sets in such a short few years of chipping. Some amazing examples of custom artwork and spot design! I can go a long time without looking at the chips, then every once in a while, I'll start looking at them, and before you know it, 30 minutes has gone by.

I also realized that I now have many (several racks) duplicate Paulson and ASM chips. I think I'll be try to let some of these go in the near future.

Anyone wanting to jump start their chip collection with an assortment of Paulson and ASM/CPC samples (collectables and custom chips), stay tuned! :)

Keep me posted Tri. I have 3 cases and zero chips. I want to get my feet wet.

Could I buy single chips in a regular 47c envelopes if it was wrapped in bubble wrap or something?

I was thinking I could mail you a prepaid envelope and you could pop a single chip inside (total cost 94c / chip)

I would have a hard time justifying my time selling/shipping individual chips at $.40-.50 each. More likely, I'll post them in lots.

Oh, and I just realized I now have 16 display cases. For a minute, I was thinking I had 8 of them.

The math of samples is mind boggling to me... 16 cases, on average 30+ chips per case... I remember thinking back when 4 cases would suffice... Anyway, it's like 500 chips displayed (just in samples and collectables)... I still have several racks of chips that I don't have room for in my displays....

Here are most of my current Chip display cases... (and their contents).

I obtained a bunch of chips at the WCB, and from members selling their custom samples... I just hadn't yet put them into the cases.

I think you almost have a playable set in there... better keep collecting, just in case.

LOL, ya, around 500 chips. Talk about a mixed set... Um, I'm thinking it would suck ass to play... BUT it might be interesting, as every time you win a pot, you get new chips to examine and look at.. Hmmmm.

72o. Really like those cases, and you have many of the same chips as me.. I really like some of those custom samples of yours. ;)

I forgot to mention to get the cleat hanging system from Lowes. It makes hanging these so much easier and better for opening the cases once hung on wall.

I got mine after much research online. Snagged a bunch of longer pieces from a picture hanging store (I think I referenced it earlier), then I hung one long piece (4') along the back, and cut up the other pieces to screw to the backs individually. Was like less than half the cost of lowes/HD prices.

Makes sense. Lowes only has them 18" long so i had to buy 4 sets for my setup. So yeah, if other places have longer sections to screw to the wall, those would be better for sure. Good to know other places have them.

Scoured the forum, and found this thread where a bunch of us discussed mounting/hanging techniques for the cases. Some great info (with pics), so I thought I'd cross reference it here:

I've been watching them for the past 3-4 weeks. They have been 50 and 40% off 3 times (2 and 1 respectively)
I won't buy them for less than 50% off (I left them at the store when they were 40% off......last week)
And we get coupons all the time (online & mailers), so even at full price, they're 50% off.... :)
