I just got a new chip set and decided to clean them with toothbrush and dawn soap

It seems that my $25 chips have this white powdery dust on it and not sure what to use to get the powder off or what the white powder is do I have to oil them to get rid of it?

I have a chip set and wondering what’s the best process to oil then and best oil to use to do it

Hello... did you see this thread?

As mentioned above, there are a few definitive threads on this subject. That is the one I found most helpful!

TLDR: Mineral Oil + Microfiber cloth compression oiling each chip. It's tedious but worth it. There are a few other methods out there, one of which involves putting your chips in a pot of warm water with some mineral oil and mixing (TBH, this only succeeds in cleaning off the factory residue, not actually oiling the chips.)
Also, confirming that the type of chip you have will benefit from oiling is a good idea. I had a buddy who spent hours oiling 1000 ceramic chips (ceramic chips are not porous and will not take up oil, lol)

The chip sets are paulsons so I think they would benifet from it
You need to be more specific about what the chips actually are. Just saying they are Paulsons is not helpful. Either post pics or state which specific casino/fantasy etc. chip you are talking about. Some Paulsons have what we call “chip dust” that seems to leach out of them but it would be helpful to know what specific set you are having the issue with.

Some of the green paulson have this issue like the chip in the pic below

Just have to wash them and clean them up, instead of gunk they get this chalky powder stuff instead, it might have to do with its ingredients.

And don’t look at the chalky stuff from green Paulsons under UV light. It gets on EVERYTHING.…and doesn’t ever really wash off. It comes back.
