Downside of having 25$ instead of 10$ is that it is less likely to hit the felt.

I don't think this is even true. The 10 or 25 should hit the felt at the same time, which is when the 5s run out. But you wouldn't get as many 25s in play as you would 10s suppose.

Downside of 10$ is that the bank is lower. But I think we can all agree on, that choosing the sub optimal distribution of chips to get them more into play or to have a larger set is something most of us are guilty of already
