Huge shout-out to @Bmercado908 for hooking me up on a great deal for my first Cash set of chips. These Aria's Card Mold are super nice and I'm looking forward to getting them into play tomorrow night. Went ahead and grabbed a rack of Majestic $0.05s from him as well because we currently play 0.05/0.10. Looking for an additional rack of $0.25 as this will be our workhorse until we bump the stakes up to 0.25/0.25 or 0.25/0.50. $4300 in chips should cover us for a while!

$0.05 x 100
$0.25 x 100
$1 x 200
$5 x100
$20 x 75
$100 x 25

Has anyone played with a mix set of CC and Ceramics? I know my guys won't mind as these are still a big upgrade but I did notice that the stack heights are different.

Some one get this man some NICKELS!

I've got a post in the classifieds for some additional fracs. If anyone can help out that would be awesome. Since the Aria chips can't be produced anymore, sounds like it might be a little bit of a challenge.

Yea still looking for at least a rack of $0.25s as 1 rack is a bit light. Most players limp or bet less than a dollar. Bigger hands have dollars in play and haven't put the $5s or even $20s in play. Still need to warmup the group to bigger stakes.

Well if you know anyone with both....send them my way.

Also looking to put together my first tourney set. Look at what this site has done to me.

From experience, if the core group/ players keep the game running for a long period.

They learn ( gaining more playing experience ) and will limp way lesser but raise or 3! more often which will reduce the number of fracs needed.

Nice first set. Haven’t read all the responses but I’m assuming this has already been said: ditch the nickels, add 1-2 racks of $5s, and play .25/.25

Or add a rack of cards mold nickels and another rack of .25s if you’re intent on staying at .05/.10

$0.25 x 200
$1 x 200
$5 x 200
$20 x 75
$100 x 25

Does this seem right? 700 chips. If I add a rack of Nickles it's a nice even 800 chips.

Might as well change the $20/$100 to 80/20 if you can. The OCD is killing me

$.05 x 100
$0.25 x 200
$1 x 200
$5 x 200
$20 x 75 80
$100 x 25 20

And also get matching Dealer Button and Cut Cards next.

Now, you have a complete Cash Set  :ROFLMAO:, until when you need to add on even more chips in the future.

Fit those racks!

I got a lot of value from this post when thinking about my set. Our game is 5c/10c but it helped me think about what chips I'd need in case it got bigger. Ultimately I have a set that can comfortably handle a few growth spurts.

Thank you. I'll give this a read. Sounds like the cash set needs to cover more options and future growth.

Some games are 5¢/10¢, really allows a group of friends to play and learn new games.
I think $20 is as big as I'll ever need for a chip.

We don't even need the nickels now.

Exactly what I'm trying to do is bring more people to the house to hangout and have some fun. Poker gives us the reason to do that and the guys enjoy it. Range of skill levels. .05/.10 is an easy entry point for most people.

Only thing is that I bought the set with 75 x $20s and 25 x $100s. I guess I could trade 5 x $100s for $5 x $20s but doesn't bother me too much right now.

Fit those racks!

Agreed!
