China-Birdcage - broken on arrival (1 Viewer)

i think i made a beginner mistake and ordered a china birdcage from eBay. It arrived broken and made no stable impression otherwise.
@Hobbyphilic introduced another birdcase in a video, but the only similar thing I found on amazon here in germany is not less than 170 dollars (!). eBay is full of china garbage. Does anyone have a hint how I can get a good but not too expensive birdcage? or is it generally not a good idea to send such a sensitive item by mail?

I had this case many years ago and it was horrible. Luckily I was able to package it with some ceramics I sold.

I ended up getting this one below and I’ll be been using it for the last 8 years.

Although I’m waiting to pick a couple up from Aurora when they become available.

Unfortunately, birdcages are frequently shipped poorly, with little to no padding, and plenty of room to jostle around and break. There have been many quality cages that have suffered a similar fate. It's actually pretty common to get a broken one.
