Ummmmm wut.

So guy joined here and posted photos, but already sold today to a pcfer and took money from another?

These mysteries are fun, there’s literally like 25 different plausible scenarios.

Hopefully dude was just sitting on a massive stash and sold same breakdowns to both pcfers.

PCF: Come for the chips, but stay for the fireworks.
I was under the impression this all took place on Facebook??

Yes sir. I have never handled 43mm Paulsons. They are amazing.

I don’t want to brag too much until @TheDuke sorts things out with PP. I feel for his situation
No worries!

I figured it was a bit of a gamble. Kind of like calling off the rest of my stack to an all in 4 bet knowing I'm probably a major dog but I'm gonna say F it and gamble!

I took the precaution of sending G&S and also used credit card to fund. So have that recourse as well.

Seriously - Congrats! These off forum finds are always fun.

Cheers!

lol idk my man, wait I thought you’re the one with chips! I’m just a spectator.

I’m sure it did, but he joined here too, after the initial Not Mine thread post (this one).
Can you link the thread again. It didn’t work and I can’t seem to find it

Haha. I didn't see that he created an account and posted.

My contact with him was all on Facebook marketplace.

I'm going to reply to that thread.

Oh man what a nightmare. I didn’t see this thread. I bought these off marketplace.

Guy seemed like a stand up dude so this is awful

Unfortunately I didn’t get a lot of information on the background. It was a quick transaction and he seemed to be a really straight up dude. Nothing fishy about it until I heard from @TheDuke

@TheDuke I’d be shocked if PPGS didn’t cover you. The seller would need some type of proof you received the item(s).
Thanks! It all worked out. He voluntarily refunded the cash.

This was actually the first time I have ever been burned in a transaction in the 20+ years of chipping. So I've been lucky and continue to be fortunate.

I submitted a claim last night with PayPal - first time ever. In the event anyone else ever needs to submit a claim, the seller had 10 days to provide a response and proof. If they don't respond within that timeframe PayPal will provide a full refund immediately. Since there was no pushback from the seller, I'm not sure how it would have proceeded. But it seemed the onus was heavily on the seller to provide proof.

Hope it was just a busy day for him and was going to refund you anyway…and he just didn’t refund you simply bc you were protected…shady nonetheless…

When I had established contact with him on Monday, we settled at $2000 total. And I sent payment Monday evening.

Seems like he was fielding other offers afterwards as well and was getting greedy and increasing the price.

I had reached out to the OP to request they remove the ad link after I had submitted payment. I wanted to avoid having the seller being inundated with messages from other PCFers. The outcome wouldn't have changed - scammer is going to scam.

Hopefully no one else tried gambling and got burned.

I asked him today if he still had these and he claimed to have 250 more of the horseshoe club chips.

Where da pics brah?

Really it sounds like he’s claiming to have ~400 more chips, 200 x $25 and 50 of each of the other four denoms. I don’t know how’s he’s choosing his angles with different people but you get the feeling it’s ad libbed.

He also knows these threads exist and that pretty well his entire (theoretical) customer base is here. What’s the endgame of this scam? I don’t really get it.

Yea.. well if you look at his Facebook profile, through the photos, it might start to make a little more sense.

Yikes! The excessive 2pac quotes and the posts about going to jail while flushing his life down the toilet.
