CatPants' WSOP PAHWM #1 - Event 13: $600 PLO Deep Stack (1 Viewer)

Heck of a flop. What kind of value can we extract sandwiched between two preflop callers?

Context:
Level 18, we are are well in the money - the event is down to about 160 of the 6000+ runners. No notable pay jumps until the top 50 or so, so pay jumps are not a concern.
My table just broke and I am moved to a new table. At 43, I am the oldest person at the new table. Several pros - scrubs are (almost all) long gone.
Get seated under the gun; no reads on anyone.

Blinds 5k/10k with a 10k BB ante
Average stack overall in the event is about 600k

SB: 1.1M
BB: 1M
UTG (HERO): 400k
UTG +1 : 700k
MP: 300k
HJ: 450k
CU: 175k
BTN: 700k

Pot is 25k, but the ante is not considered when calculating a pot sized bet preflop. So a pot raise would be to 35k.

Fold. Villain has 10/J spades and you're just gonna lose now. I've played enough online poker to know what happens next.

I will say playing live, this many PLO hands in this tourney, really does make online seem more rigged. Waaaay less people seeing a flop, so it explains why middle sets on straighted or flushed boards are still able to take down pots. Definitely have to widen your river calling range - very little nut peddling.

I’d say bet about 110k here. enough Where you can make an all-in half bet on the river for half-pot, but not too much where you’ll still have a playable stack if a scare card comes in and you don’t feel like calling off your whole stack. Against fishy players I may go for a check jam here, but this late most players are probably solid, and know you’re the one with the AA way more often in your range.

I vote 80% pot. I’m a plo fish and have no idea how to size though. Im surprised you got called in two spots with the board this locked up.

Definitely brought some draws, improved two pairs, etc. that can call a bet. Also, happy to take this pot down as stands as well.

UTG must have had 99? Jeez what a cooler flop. Glad you’re on right side of that one.

Bottom set and 2nd nut redraw, and drawing dead. Damn.

That's the only thing I could think of - or maybe a hand like JT9x or JT8x with a mediocre diamond or spade draw.

The exact hand you want in there. When will people learn that an Ace high flop with the Ace being the non suite for the draw is extremely dangerous if you don’t have the nut flush draw?

If Villain thinks you could have AA there 2/3 of them are in your hand, so most likely you have the Ad and could there is a good chance it is suited.

Well played (since you made all the plays I would have :cool).

And you are getting aggression from the preflop raiser!

Oh good, this one ended well. Glad the aces held up. You had him drawing perfectly dead. I am far from an expert, but I get the feeling fish overvalue non-nut flush draws in PLO.

But I mostly wanted to comment to congratulate you on your cash here. Well done.
