Hello all,
I am Russ (Hooptee on here). I am the owner/operator of Splash Pot Poker Trays. I make custom cabinets, racks, trays specifically for poker chips.
I only use domestic and exotic hardwoods. My 100 count chip racks are modeled straight from the plastic ones. Meaning they are cut from 1.5-inch solid hardwood on my CNC on both sides. Significantly reducing weight from the racks, you may be used to. Also makes them stackable. (see Zebra wood racks). They are a bit longer (9x3x1.25 Approximately) The cabinet trays hold 1000 chips each and are cut into 1.25-inch hardwood. Carrying trays are 300, 400,500 Etc... Any size you would want. Everything can be customized to your taste.
so just introducing myself and wanted to share my work here and possibly become a vender.
You can see more pics at my Etsy shop. https://splashpotpokertrays.etsy.com.
Please don't hesitate if you have a question.
Have a great day,
Russ

It sold for 1500.00 plus taxes and shipping through Etsy. I can do it outside of Etsy for 1350.00 Plus shipping. It is red oak with a medium walnut stain and a plywood back. Customer said he was putting up against a wall, so it didn't matter.

I have thought to myself a few times that spool cabinets for storing thread (like the photo below) would be perfect for storing and displaying chips, if they were sized bigger. Then I've said to myself, I should try to build something like that some day. Well, that's basically what you did with that cabinet and it looks fantastic. Well done.

Thank you.
That does look like it would work. If you remove every other shelf, resize the slots to accommodate chips and use thicker wood to support the weight of the chips. So basically, rebuild it. LOL.
Thank you again, have a great day.

The Zebra wood cabinet holds 5000 Tuktuk holds 6000

Trays are cut to 39mm or 43mm radius.
I'm not OP, but for what it's worth, I'm pretty sure they weren't asking about the overall 39mm/43mm radius, they were asking about the tiny radius at the top/bottom of the cutout, as seen here. Is it a hard 90 degrees, or is there a small radius there that will prevent a chip from resting completely flat against the side.

I’m sorry, I misunderstood the question.
Yes, they do have a small radius but does not effect the way the chips sit. As seen in picture 1.
Like the plastic tray there is some play when 20 chips are in but does not allow for an extra chip to be inserted. And, like the plastic trays, they are cut out on the bottom so they can be stacked. As seen in picture 2.
