I received a package this week from a project that was long overdue. During my time on Chiptalk I greatly admired beautiful custom trays and racks made out of a variety of gorgeous wood by the resident woodworking guru at that time (OZ Woodworking). When I returned to this hobby 18 or so months ago, after a 10 year hiatus, one of my biggest regrets was not ever having anything built.
It took a bit to find my legs here at PCF and catch up on what I had missed and remember everything I had forgot (alot). One of the first things I went about doing was seeing if Oz was still around...sadly no. However in asking around I was directed to a gentleman named Alec. Finding Alec's work was easy and it was clear to see his ability was top notch.
This Spring I reached out to Alec and we made plans for an order. I ordered 8 racks (for a 60" round table) and one 1,000 chip tray....with two inserts. One insert for 39mm and one insert for 43/44mm. Without further ado, here is the beautiful work I received on Monday. Thanks to Alec for being wonderful to work with.
