I’m heading to Canterbury Park in MN and they run a 2-100 spread limit game because our state can’t comprehend that 1/2 NL would save everyone time and energy. Anyway I usually jump the boarder and play the 1/2 NL at diamond jo casino where the max buy in is $300, it’s been a while since I’ve been to Canterbury where I would usually play the 4/8 or 6/12 before spread limit took off. I called yesterday to see what the max buy in was and was told there is no max buy in. With the betting basically uncapped at $100 increments when heads up do I buy in for $100 more than the biggest stack or I was thinking $400-$500, not sure what the “normal” buy in is for 2-100 spread but guessing $200-$300 wouldn’t be off by much. Let me know your thoughts thanks!

I’d probably start with $200 until I got a feel for the players. If it is full of regs that know each other pretty well you could be at a disadvantage for a while.

If after a few orbits you feel like you have an advantage of most of them I would up my stack if I thought it was the right move.

DJ Northwood closed their poker room, fyi. But they have a shiney new sportsbook now, tho....

I typically do $200 when I play. Also heads up, this game is played with twos, not fives. (I know.)

this pic never get old :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

8/16 half kill is my favorite game there right now if you are even halfway good at limit. 2-100 is too slow for my liking.
