Chip Breakdown Advice (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone,
I recently purchased a used set of DDLM chips with the following breakdown:

150x 25¢
150x $1
100x $5
50x $25
25x $100
(It also came with 100x $10 chips, but I’m probably going to sell those.)

So right now I have 475 chips, and I’m trying to decide how to round the set out to an even 600 chips (adding 125 more).

My initial thought was to get:

50x 25¢
50x $1
25x $25

Right now I host 25¢/25¢ home games with a $25 max buy-in and typically 7–9 players. I plan to increase the max buy-in to $40 soon, and the biggest game I can realistically see myself hosting in the future is 25¢/50¢ with a $100 max buy-in.

Given that, how would you guys use the remaining 125 chips? Would you stick with my plan, or would you change the breakdown?

I personally only use 100 blind chips for my 25c/50c game. I would get another 125x $5 chips or 25x $25 and 100x $5.

I'd add $1s and $5s, either 25/100 or all $5s as @Salbino suggests. You're good on higher denoms with the $25s and $100s.

Yep, more $5s.You don't need more than the current number of fracs, and you don't have enough fives for a decent sized .25/.50 game.

Would u ever host 2 tables? If not, then 100 more 5s, then either 25 more 1s or for my OCD 25 more 25s for 1 rack high denoms that would never see felt (neither of those last 25 would ever see felt though)

Thanks, everyone. Do you guys think selling 50 of my 25¢ chips and replacing them with 50 more $1 chips, along with what @Salbino suggested is a good idea?

That would leave me with the following final breakdown:

100x 25¢

200x $1

200x $5

75x $25

25x $100

Unfortunately, I don’t have the ability to sell anything on the forum yet, so I’m trying to be more active until I meet the requirements.

Sell 100 $10
Buy 50 $1
Buy 100 $5
Buy 25 $25

Gives you nice round numbers. Even though you already have more $25 or &100s than you need.
