These have a special place in my heart/closet, but have to let them go to make room for some incoming chips. These chips are the very first set I ever bought, while traveling to Vegas and stopping by the General Gambling Store. They caught my eyes and cost me $1/chip (yup, you heard it right). I added a few more a few years ago to make the set playable in our game, but they have been in play maybe a dozen times or so. They look and feel brand new.

You can read some info here, here and here. Marlowcasinochips is supposedly selling them for $1.49/chip, but that's a lot of LOL.

From Dice702: "This is an R.T. Plastics chip. The full inlay has a multi-colored holographic inlay that is quite unique and flashy. It looks great under the lights. These chips have a good sound and feel and balance. They stack well but are a bit slippery." I can attest to all of that.

Here's the breakdown - 1540 chips in total:
  • 180 x $1 Capone's Casino (two different designs)
  • 80 x $1 Bugsy's Casino
  • 320 x $5 Bugsy's
  • 260 x $10 Bugsy's
  • 200 x $25 Bugsy's
  • 120 x $50 Bugsy's
  • 200 x $100 Bugsy's
  • 100 x $500 Bugsy's
  • 80 x $1000 Bugsy's
I am asking for $0.20 per chip or $308 in total + shipping (International shipping is likely to be prohibitively expensive as the package s likely to be in the 35-40 lbs. range) I will throw in some extra freebies as well: Two sets of plastic cards that have been used only once: A set of Da Vinci Bridge Jumbo Index and a set of Fournier Bridge Jumbo Index (probably $30-$40 in value).

I prefer to sell this as one set. but if I have to break the set, I rather sell two-three sets of 500+ chips.

I just saw the price. Very interesting. If I wasn't trying to spend more than that on 40 fricken chips I might consider these. Its a fun inlay.

Shipping over sears would require to large flat rate boxes, or preferred three medium flat rate boxes. So yeah, pretty damn expensive.

Basically trying to open up some room in the closet, otherwise I wouldn't sell them for that price.

P.S. I just bought a rack of chips for that price too...crazy how this works

Thanks for the tag... I'm going to take a look at the breakdown and see if I can work with these. I'm also in a storage shortage zone right now, otherwise these would be a snap-buy.

Nice labels, but I know I'd be pulling them off and slapping @Gear product on them. I have yet to try his new glitter labels, and these would be perfect recipients.

If someone nabs these, great buy - but if you're just thinking about it, the clock is ticking...

Have you ever peeled a label on these? Wondering if they are relabel candidates.

GLWS.

EDIT: Dice702 says labels come off.

I could easily peel the label off this chip on the first try. I could then stick the same label back on the chip without any noticeable change. The labels are very high quality and are difficult to pierce or tear.

Could store them at my house :)

That's a sweet set!! Unique and love the colors!!

Definitely agree. As I said before, if it weren't for space issue (and having too many chips) and the fact that moar chips are inbound, I would never sell these. Great colors. And at these prices? hmmmm

I have never taken the label off of any chip. Not sure.

Do RT Plastics have any of the suction-y goodness of Bud Jones or are they just slippery like Matsuis?

Also, anyone know off hand if @Gear can replicate the glittery part of these labels?

I don't have any Matsui chips. But these don't have the suction goodness/badness of Bud Jones. I like these better precisely because they have the good qualities of chips like Borgata and other Bud Jones style chips (don't get dirty as much, etc.), but never liked the suction of the Borgata chips.

This is a really good deal. Someone better buy these before I do! :D

In the meantime, I'll try to resist. If there was another rack of $100's, these would be gone already.

Less slippery than Matsuis.

My experience with Bud Jones are only in casinos, but without side by side testing I think Bud Jones are less slippery than RT Plastics.

Gear now has a glitter label, but I am not sure if the "grain" size of the glitter would match, or if it would match these in color shade.

Nice buy. The labels come right off these chips. The glossy labels like Bugsy's make the chips a little slick, but if you get a textured label, the chips will do well. These chips also shuffle like a dream. A few hours sooner and I may have bought these.

As I sit here and shuffle my 10 random RT Plastics chips, I am getting more jealous that suited67 picked these up before I did. GG NH.

I already have a small set of Capone's Casino.

Here is a pic. I am mysteriously drawn to them. The love the color combos of the set I am picking up here :)
