Broken Arrow First Impressions and review (10 Viewers)

Just ordered a few setups of each before I read this thread. Now I’m regretting ordering the black/gold. Maybe I’ll reach out and see if they can substitute green/blue decks for the black/gold.
hope it works out! The black and gold's are still playable I get them in rotation every now and then but I'm sure the blue and green are better!

I played with the blue and reds last month and using them again tomorrow. I dig them. I like the bridge size as we do dealers' choice bomb pots, which leads to a lot of PLO, Big O, or made-up games with more than 2 cards.

They handle well but I don't like how fast they fade. It appears that red fades very quickly. (just like Copag, maybe even worse). Black is not as bad.

I came to check if others were having issues so I am glad I wasn't the only one. I have only noticed the fading on my Green/Blue setup so far, with the black cards fading worse. Same as OP, probably only about 10 hours of playtime with these, played on either SSC or topper.

I'm assuming this is the regular (not the Pro) deck?

Correct. This is not the newer Professional Series setups. This was from the Green and Blue setup in the yellow box. I also have the black and gold setup and haven't noticed this yet.

This has been an issue with those earlier cards. Although they’re fantastic deals and priced extremely well..there was bound to be some minor drawbacks. Overall still quality cards for heck a price. Pro series I haven’t had any issues with. However, the black and gold small thicker bolder print cards have had 0 issues…mainly because my guys can’t read them clearly and have hard time distinguishing suits and numbers. We don’t use em.

Upgrade to the pros you won’t be disappointed.

I agree with almost everything you said. I understand the trial and error required to "perfect" a product, so my complaints about the fading on the yellow box aren't very loud. Where I disagree is the black & golds; my group hasn't complained once about being able to read the fonts or distinguish the suits. I really appreciated something different like those. As someone who loves the Faded Spade art and font style, I thought the black & golds were in the same ballpark. We just played with them Saturday night, in fact! But as you said, for the price, they are probably the best cards out there right now. Because these exist, I can't bring myself to try another setup of Faded Spades for their price, especially since my first setup had a card that split right in half, from face to back, on our second time playing with it.

Now that they are in Justin's store after I missed the group buy, I do plan on picking up a couple of the professional series setups!

Faded spades are nice but not for the price. I do like the thicker and louder slapping cards like those spades! However, a card is a card lol..as long as they’re not paper bicycles I’m good 😂
