• We are normally 5 or 6 handed, but I'd also like the set to be able to accommodate 8 handed games

• Stakes: big bet games 25¢/25¢, limit games 50¢/$1, possibly up to 25/50 and 1/2

I have a big limit set, but it gets cumbersome--especially later on when everyone's been drinking--counting out and matching up big bets with a bunch of quarters. When I bought the limit set I had hoped that we'd spend more time playing limit games, but we always end up playing more PLO and NLHE. I'm thinking...

100 x .25
300 x 1
180 x 5
20 x 25

Does that sound OK? Any adjustments? Thanks.

I think that 100/300/180/20 is a perfect breakdown for 5-8 players. In fact, I use this same breakdown for my 8 player $0.25/$0.50 games. Gives you a bank of $1725.

I use starting stacks of:

12 x $0.25
37 x $1 (lots of workhorse chips)
12 x $5
-----
61 chips, $100 (200BB)

And then use the remaining $5's and $25's for rebuys.

10 x $5
2 x $25
-----
$100

If you want to increase your bank, then I think a natural progression/expansion would be:

100/300/200/80/20

Great. Thanks, guys. I'm just getting a set of Bwalks, but at least I can experience these beautiful Paulson sets vicariously on here. One day, though!
