Board Gamers, show us your loot! (3 Viewers)

One of my favorite gambling/Vegas themed board games is getting a pretty new reprint by a new publisher.

Vegas Showdown

I still have an original copy. And it looks like there are no gameplay changes. But it is a lot prettier than the original.

Just finished up our first Arca campaign. That was a wild ride. Just needed to hang on and see where it went. But I can see that getting better with a second campaign where everybody is more familiar with everything.

Anyone on here play board games online at all? I've been looking for something to play with friends that are long distance right now, probably between 4 and 6 players. Anyone have recommendations either from boardgamearena or tabletop simulator?

What type of games do you typically enjoy?

Wingspan is available digitally quite widely and well implemented.

I play race for the galaxy online with friends a lot

Dominion also has a great online implementation

For something heavier, scythe too, but doesn’t scale as well to too many players

There a lot of good options on BGA for those player counts. I would probably just filter games by supported players and see what appeals. Heat, Bacon, Five Three Five, and Chicago Express are good places to start. 7 Wonders is also on there.

If you mean more automated digital versions, Root's digital adaptation on Steam and iOS is cute and cuts out a lot of the dead time that arises from playing Root on TTS, although it only supports up to 4 players and is missing the latest expansion (presumably to come soon(tm)).

Got my copy of the new Field game, Civolution. Long teach and rules, but the game really isn't as heavy as I thought it was going to be. Which is fine.

It's seems it's one of those games that is very initial setup dependent. And I think, barring some bad dice rolling, that certain starting conditions favor some players over others. Though, it's too early to tell for sure. And I doubt I'll play it often enough to ever find out. I very much enjoyed it though.

Not my picture, but wanted one for reference.
