After literally years of managing blind levels with a paper on the wall and using the timer on google home, I am giving Blind Valet a shot tomorrow. I'm not worried about payouts, seating, rebuys or any of that, I am just using it to display time left in each level, the current blinds and the upcoming blinds. Any pro tips that I need to know about?

Sorry to resurrect this post, but are you still using this and do you like it? Any reason to pay for the subscription or just use the free version? I am only running a STT.

I still am. I am seriously cheap, so I am just using the free version as a timer. I figure out the payouts on my own. It works well, give you a chime when there is a minute left on each level. When I maximize it on my laptop, its easy to see from the tables. Plus, you create an account to sign in, and it will save your blind structure for you. I recommend it. For a free program, its worth every penny.

Sounds great, I agree and don’t mind doing the math on money, most my guys we just agree 3rd place money back and second first split 30%/70% whatever is there after the rebuys. I will be running it this weekend and see what happens. Thanks for the fast reply.

I've been using it for several years, back from when all the bells and whistles were free. I also just use it as a timer nowadays. I really like that I can log on to one device for showing the clock, e.g. a laptop or some hookup to a tv, and still control the clock from my phone.

A few years ago I was in correspondence with the developer pushing for some sort of pay-as-you-go for the advanced features, for example to pay $X for 2 days (allowing you to test the schedule the day before), because it's simply too much money to pay annually if you're hosting just a few times per year. He said he had something in mind, but I haven't checked since then.

Ahhhh, finally! This one was suggested by me. :-)
I probably wasn't the only one suggesting it, but that won't stop me from taking full credit :D

I also suggested allowing you to edit the break to change which level it's after...but it seems as we still need to delete and re-add the break instead...

Good stuff win. I agree I only host 6 or so games a year of STT and do not need a full blown tournament director set up or expensive software that will cover our $20 buy in with one rebuy/add.
