It happens when the VPN they are on shows their actual location until they change it

Hopefully the password db is hashed (and salted) so that while the hashes can be used here, they won't actually have your password.

So much this. I read an article once about how hackers had set up a legit contest somewhere. People entered and won prizes and all was good. However, the hackers realized that people had a tendency to use the same email/password pretty much everywhere. What they did was turn around and scour the web using all these login combos knowing people had given info they used on multiple other sites. Genius for sure, but a lesson in never using the same password in multiple locations.

I hadn't seen this. I just tried logging in and my account was locked, link sent to me from PCF to reset my password, which I promptly did.
