Barrington poker table thread (10 Viewers)

Was wondering if it’s possible to cut out for a chip tray on the led barrington table?

I have the opportunity to pick up one new in box for $150 and would like to have a chip tray. I assume I’ll need to move the hinge(s) but was curious if anyone has done this and if so has the process they used.

Between the hinges and the leg mounts, I can’t imagine making a hole in the table in the middle without quite a bit of structural issues and moving critical parts around.

how does everyone keep their playing surface clean? I’ve used a handheld vacuum and had good luck but don’t want to damage the felt, anyone have a good recommendation?

Honestly, I just throw mine in the washing machine. "Delicates" cycle and by itself. I skip the dryer and let it air dry before I use it again.

I have the "advantage" that I don't have a permanent table and actually use bungee cords to secure the felt (unsuited speed cloth) over a piece of Volara foam when I play, so it's easy to 'remove and replace'.

If it's glued or stapled down to a more permanent table, I can't help, but the felt I use is over 10 years old, ~ monthly games until recently, and doesn't need frequent washing as food is limited at the table (no juicy wing-fingers or stale burger-juice) so that helps the cleanliness.

Hey folks, I'm from Canada. Anyone buy cupholders to replace existing ones. I don't want to upgrade width, just make it deeper. Any insight?

Why not wider? You'll need to drill a hole in the plywood under the existing cupholders anyway to put in anything deeper.

Nervous about cutting into the cushioned rest, or doing a bad job. Just less risk I guess

Wonder when the next deal will be. These tables are 350-450 on just about every website I can find. Found the brown one for 220 and thought about pulling the trigger but somebody else’s bullet was faster than mine. Can everyone confirm the size is 84 inches long for the lighted and standard barrington?

I’ve found some similar cheaper tables( vevor and brands like that) but most are 72 inches.

Seems like Black Friday and holiday season is the time to buy one?

I would be patient and keep an eye on Walmart. They seem to frequently go on sale. I had a friend buy 2 of them for $169 in December. I bet they go on sale here again soon. Maybe Fathers Day?

I got lucky and scored a diy table from a guy who was moving! It’s pretty damn snazzy, no cup holders but I’m happy!

LED Barrington on sale at Costco Canada, or at least Ontario (don’t know how regional it is)

I’m guessing a new one or new version will be available later this year?

Are all these manufacturers making the same looking tables the same? Was thinking of getting one or two of these for tournaments but I see the same looking tables under other names than Barrington and the prices are all over the place

It’s a Barrington. Slightly less reinforced (just fine!). Comes with extra toppers for different games. Totally worth it.likely just needs a custom topper and you are good to go!

I can’t answer your question technically because I don’t have the actual knowledge but I know what you are talking about. When you search for Barringtons you will find many tables that looks very similar.

I’m only going to guess or assume here that many of those tables use the same or similar parts and then slap their logos on it.

Barringtons, as seen in this thread receive high praise for what they cost from many many PCFers, to me it feels like the default for inexpensive foldable table.

So you can buy others for probably cheaper but they may or may not be as good for the money as Barringtons are touted as.

Big problem with the cheapest tables is cheap packaging, which leads to more shipping damage. Check out the review on Amazon to see lots of "this table's great" alongside "This table arrived totally bashed up!"

Barrington ships from Walmart via FedEx (in my experience last year) and so both Barrington and Walmart have a vested interest in minimizing shipping damage. Unlike random chinese-made whitelabeled amazon tables.

I did a deep dive hoping to find the best deal and ultimately figured that the plain but well regarded (by PCF) Barrington was likely to outperform random Amazon slop table.

Also the tables on Walmart go from like $400 to $200 on sale (free shipping), to I think as low as $99 shipped around chirstmas?

Thank you. I’ll look to Walmart for one

Costco and others stock them I think too, but not consistently. Like they get a few container loads in at random times and sell them out before reordering more months later

Also lots of custom made “toppers” made on PCF to the barrington dimensions.

LED version is $50-100 more and ~25lbs heavier, from like 60 to 85 pounds, the difference of decent portability. LED table has slightly different dimensions too, mostly relevant when sizing custom toppers

Also prices seem to vary wildly but you can see it’s all the same model barringrom table so comparison shopping is easy

So what is considered the “better” barrington?

Also I was referring to tables like these. Are the the same just under a different name?

These are 8 seater tables while the Barringtons are 10 seaters. While you can fit 8 or 10 respectively, it’s a tight squeeze and more comfortable is 7 or 9.
