April 13-18th the Hard Rock in Hollywood FL will host a televised WPT Main Event with a $3 million prize pool guarantee.

The buyin is $3,500 and players start with 30K chips. Levels last for 60 minutes on Days 1 & 2, 90 minutes on Day 3 and 90 minutes on Day 4 until the final table which is 60 minute levels (30 minutes headsup)

I will play this event if I am able to sell enough of myself to do so. I would need to sell at least 50% of myself to make it happen. I am willing to sell as much as 70% of the action if there's interest. First place last year was north of $661,000 and over 150 spots were paid.

There would be no markup:

1% of action = $35

Be aware that you would be responsible for paying taxes on any winnings and a 1099 would be issued. The casino may take out taxes before paying out so be aware that may affect payout amounts.

I live in the Tampa area so any lodging would be my own responsibility and not that of any backers. However, if there is someone in the Hollywood area who can house me or can get special rates at a hotel I'd be willing to discuss payment or a piece of my action in exchange.

My plan would be to play Day 1B on Saturday the 14th. The structure sheet is here:

Please post in this thread your interest, I can accept Paypal friends & family. In the event I do not reach 50% action sold by Friday April 6th I will refund all backers money.

If there is overwhelming interest I may consider selling action on a rebuy into the event and play Day 1A on Friday with the option to play Day 1B on Saturday if I bust.

I would also provide a thread here with updates as well as provide updates on Facebook and Twitter so everyone can live vicariously through me.

POKER RESUME

I've final tabled the SQM two years back-to-back and I once bullied @Ben out of the pot preflop with :ah::7h: and showed it to him. I also cracked his Kings with Q2 s00ted and sent him to the rail. Also, only 1 in 4 Canadians is able to beat me at the table, which is quite possibly my most impressive feat.

I have no casino gambling leaks (table games, slots, sports betting) although I am partial to Asian women and by buying a piece you understand I'm not responsible for your investment if I run across Asian Triplets in Schoolgirl Uniforms.

Not to derail, but are you willing to satty? I’ve gotten into a couple bigger events for super cheap by sattys. Which are often pretty soft.

I'd be open to it, although it seems most of the satellites are turbo structured (and they haven't posted the structures yet) But there are also some that aren't listed as turbos that guarantee 10 seats each, so I'd be down for giving that a shot as well depending on interest in this

Many decent players and pro poker players play the sattys, then sell Them off. Playing the sattys is fun, and many people have zero clue how to strategize their play. It’s survival. Let’s say top 20% of the field gets tickets into the next level, I’ve seen many people playing their normal tourney strategy, trying to accumulate chips, which is good, but as soon as you start to get near the bubble, ya gotta switch into survival mode. Tighten up, and it can actually be correct play to fold AA preflop. If you have 10bbs, you’d normally be looking to get it in pre with decent holdings... but if you’re near the bubble and there are a number of players with 5-6 bbs, just ride it out and let these players bust. Many of these ppl start shoving, thinking they have to get it in. It doesn’t matter if you finish the satty with 8bbs or 100bbs, once the bubble is reached, it’s over and you win the same amount typically. The advantage is many people don’t consider this, and stick to the 10-20bb danger zone rule, and don’t adjust accordingly, which can be taken advantage of.
