Been playing at these three levels for a while and since MN doesn’t have NL I travel down to Iowa to play and I generally use the rule of 5% I’m which the buy in for these is usually around 200-300 a bankroll of $4000-$6000 is a good base to weather the storms of a downswing just wanted to get thought and in some cases the 6/12 limit game can get huge when the kill is on thanks for the responses cheers!

For fixed-limit, my rule is 500 big bets for a pro who has no other income. If you have a job with a steady paycheck, then 300 big bets is fine.

For NL, 20 buy-in's at the table max is my rule.

I have no experience with spread limit.

All of this is assuming, of course, that it's a winning player. If the player is a long-term losing player, then it doesn't matter how big your bankroll is, it will eventually be gone if you play long enough.
