Bally's to be rebranded as Horseshoe in Las Vegas (1 Viewer)

Aw. Bally's is easily the casino I've spent the most time/money in (lots of work and personal trips both ended up there), so a little sad to hear this. Mocked up a CPC line inspired by their stuff that I wouldn't hate to own!

They looks beautiful, mind to post the setup details? I can trial and error to duplicate, but pretty new to these.

Thanks,

I see a lot of inconsistent info about the projected opening of the horseshoe… anyone have info or details about new chips?

This is kind of a bummer.... I'm planning a trip to Vegas in January and was planning on staying and playing at Bally's to harvest some $1's (first harvest trip!). The website now says transition in December so maybe I'll get lucky and the Horseshoe will have good looking (and brand new!) THC's.

I'm assuming if I book a room at Bally's now it will just be converted to a room at the Horseshoe for January? Maybe I should wait in case the transition takes longer than December to complete. Anyone have stories about previous rebrandings and trying to show up right after reopening?

December seems like the rough estimate.

Also mentions that trop will be rebranded as Bally’s.

Unfortunately not much worth grabbing there:

I'm hoping to still harvest fivers...but could be the new cardroom is open by then (and ideal to harvest the new chips if they are decent)

Ah, that would be so fun, and I sure want to meet you!!! But I will be traveling to celebrate my Dad’s 80th birthday then.

I hope you guys haul truckloads of chips out of there, whichever brand it is then.

Sounds like I’ll miss ya by 1 day. we’re visiting 22-25. Leave me a few chips will ya ;)

Does Bally’s have any $5s left, to get them through to December??
I’ve been taking every good 1 and 5 out of that place since May…1400 5s and a few racks of 1s So far. Going back next week. The poker cage will text me when new chips arrive I’m praying for THC or a house mold.

I think the new cardroom may open in November. The construction on the new marquee on the corner of Flamingo and LVBLVD is going fast. New room will be nice, more tables too. They aren’t doing anything to the hotel. I absolutely believe they will use new Horseshoe chips at the WSOP cage next year.

Wifey and I are booked Dec 14-18. I might stay longer. Rufus is joining? Sweet!

I book my Caesars Entertainment rooms with their app as it tracks tier points and such. I can’t imagine anything will be different for your room. Just this week the app confirmed a December official switch so they must be on schedule since they announced this several months ago

some have gone to VIP chippers but I’m still building View attachment 1013767
Ballys 5s are one of those chips that look amazing in photos and are even better in person. I had a barrel that were so sharp they’d cut you and another that were just that perfect level of worn in where they were buttery smooth. Both have gone on to better homes where they would be valued, but I still miss them.

5 years from now, I feel like many on PCF will regret not trying to get a rack of these while still available.

These seem like they will command a premium price in 5 years because they can be a great $5 chip and also a potential relabel as a frac.

Latest word on Vegas casinos: The Mirage will officially be renamed the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on December 19th.

Last call for Mirage chips! Hard Rock has a history of oversized labels, so hopes are very low that there will be anything useful there - but it's worth a look, right?!?

I wonder if they'd like some people get those 'poker room only' chips from the cage or maybe some $3s if they won't be needing them anymore.
