Well I took third...I was definitely in play to win but I think the alcohol caught up to me based off some decisions I made at the end lol!

So this was a first...
Thought it was just a flush over flush. Then I saw it haha

The chips look phenomenal. Echo the comments about the inlay colour matching too. Definitely great going with something sentimental, you'll love getting them to the table every time

Late to the party! No idea how I missed these, but absolutely Stunning Tommy! Congratulations man, I love simplicity and consistent spot patterns for a tournament set! Those color matched inlays are absolutely phenomenal sir! Love the story behind them in the OP as well. So many amazing customs this year, going to be a hell of a competition for "custom set of the year!"

IMO this is the goat CPC set. Great choices on the colors and J5 absolutely killed that inlay design!

I just got back from a week long FBI training and I still have my CSI camera on me. Boy.. @JeepologyOffroad is 10000% right when he says a good camera can make a huge difference. Now if only I actually knew how to use it lol! I did some point and shoot photography and messed around with a few flash settings, just for fun. Chips still had some excess oil on them but oh well.

Manufacturer: Classic Poker Chips

Inlay Designer: @Johnny5

Well here we are! My new custom set dedicated to my two Australian Shepherds, Jazz and Lambeau. This idea came to fruition at the beginning of the year when my wife and I got our new puppy, Lambeau (the black tri). I brainstormed ideas, knowing at the end of the day something of sentimental value was the way I wanted to approach this set. I also wanted to challenge myself to come up with something unique and perhaps a little unconventional.

One evening in January I was playing with my older pup when I looked at my wife and said, "Aussie Nights". What started as a joke has now become a reality. I looked through countless custom sets while designing my own. I noticed most sets revolve around a card room or game when named. I decided to go for what was most unique to me and name mine around an idea or a feeling I guess you could say. What Aussie Nights means to me is the time spent with my wife, my dogs, making memories with them.

Now into the design phase. A tournament set was the obvious choice as that is what my group primarily plays. As you'll see below, every chip other than the bounty is 3DSA316. I'm a big fan of uniformity and that factored heavily when making my final decision. I bought myself a CPC color sample and went to work on the design tool. I used so many of your guys sets as inspiration, you have no idea. I made every effort possible to string together my own unique color set but each time I came up with a combination I loved I realized somebody here or some casino had done it before. It look me a long time to realize that almost everything has been done before. With that in mind, I eventually settled on what I liked and said **** it. I'm sure you will see some obvious inspiration in my set :)

With my colors set, I reached out to J5 to design the inlay. I told him my ideas and expressed that I wanted the inlay to revolve around an Australian Shepherd surrounded by a forest of redwoods in the stars. The redwoods were a way to pay homage to my home in Northern California, the Redwood Empire area. I quickly realized that it would be important to bring in a different point of view and reached out to @Irish for help. I told Matt his Barrel House set was one of my all time favorites here and asked if he would be willing to consult for me. He happily obliged. Matt, without your input, I probably would've just settled on the first proof I liked and wouldn't have focused on the many nuances we talked about. I am truly appreciative of your help, thank you :). There isn't much to say about J5 that hasn't been echoed here already. A true professional and a very talented artist, thank you J5.

Alright lets see some photos thats what we all care about isn't it! BTW apparently you guys are all like amateur or professional photographers, here's me taking photos with my wife's iPhone lol. I hope you guys enjoy. I don't post a ton, but I've been a constant lurker since I joined last year. I am happy to be a part of this community.

Beauties!!

In my opinion, no...I really can’t feel the difference. Others with more experience might be able to but I definitely can’t.
How about barrell heights/chip thickness? I was about to start a thread asking the question. They look the same in your photos... Do you happen to have some calipers to measure stack heights? I'm nervous to mix weighted bases with unweighted

Lovely set, mate. You did really well with these!

Thank you! I don’t have calipers. I’ve found in rare circumstances one barely might be slightly taller than the other but it’s pretty minimal to me. I’m a pretty OCD guy and I haven’t noticed anything that has truly bothered me.

Elite 8, pulled pork, and poker. Getting ready for a long night and hopefully back on the winning side of things.

And yeah, that's a Big Mouth Billy Bass on the wall. Deal with it.

Love the round table in the back. We’re building one as a back up. The “Life Boat.” Easy to move and always ready for cash game overflow. We don’t play many tourneys but it’ll open us up to an MTT here and there. Nice setup.
