I found this on my local marketplace and when I asked the lady how she got them into her hands (I'm in New Zealand by the way so very rare for nice chips to come this way!) her exact response was - "My family used to be really wealthy but not anymore so I'm selling off lots of stuff."
Up for sale is an ASM Solid Roman Mold Set. The labels are terrible so would make a perfect relabel project.
151 x WHITE (10c) - 1 chip is slightly warped and 1 has no label on one side. Some of the edges are kind of discolored (the brass flakes going green?) compared to the faces.
148 x YELLOW (50c) - 5 chips are slightly warped.
96 x GREEN ($1) - 1 chip is slightly warped.
49 x BLUE ($5) - 4 chips are slightly warped and have some fading.
50 x ORANGE ($10) - All look to be in very good condition.
TOTAL - 494
Other than the imperfections listed above, all chips are in very good condition. I have tried to take photos which show the imperfections but happy to take different angles if required. The lady said they had just been sitting in storage for ages so look like they've hardly been played if at all. Edges are all very sharp. I have given them a good wipe but could do with some oil to really pop.
Asking 700 USD including shipping (or best offer) anywhere in the world. Payment via PayPal Friends & Family. Once the package is dropped off at the Post Office, my responsibility ends there. I will provide all relevant tracking information and happy to do insurance at your cost.
It also came in a nice case made by a company called GWP USA. Each row holds 63 of the ASM chips. Two of the chip rows were cracked and have been glued back together. The case itself is also a bit marked up but functional. Happy to throw it in there as well but due to the weight, it would be an additional 75 USD. Otherwise will ship well packed and securely as I have done multiple times in the past.
