ASM mock-up (1 Viewer)

Price is a consideration on the mold...

This only makes sense from a short-term gratification perspective. Far better to save more short-term, get what you really want, and be happy long term. Don't skimp now just to be dissatisfied for decades! Get what you truly want.

Let me repeat myself. Get what you truly want.

I'm not a fan of the Lavender-Pink-DG Tiger progression. I feel it's just sliding around the color wheel as opposed to bouncing around the color wheel like a star.

I'm with Poker Zombie on this, and particularly on the last two. Strange as it sounds, New Pink (or simply Pink as it says on the tool) and Tiger actually aren't extremely far apart when you get them together in person. The spots would probably differentiated enough in stacks, but you may end up wanting more contrast on the faces in pots. Be sure to get samples if you haven't already and compare the colors some.

I get what you're saying on the first part. I just think there is a point where the cost can far exceed the value that you're getting. If there is not a huge difference in preference, a large extra cost doesn't always seem justified to me. That being said, all things being equal, I do like the Diamond/Square pattern best overall. Is it worth another $400 for a 1000-piece set? I'm not sure. I also like the B-diamond, the HHR, and the Circle/Square. I'm going to ponder that one for a bit.

The new colors aren't satisfactory, I agree. I will go back to closer to the original on the next mock.

Not too sure about this one either, but gave another shot at revising the 5k chip:

Going back to the labels I like what you have above because of the symmetry on both sides but when people started calling it the fishless river I started to like that for the poker terms, not sure if that was said in a later post or not. So I guess it depends on what type of players you want at your game.

A few more color options to consider for the T1000 and T5000 (front side only):

Let me know which of the 4 you all like best, or if the original (see below) was best. Thanks.

They can call Pink/Green chips overused, but that's because it's a good color combo. Post #67 for 500-5000, Post #66 Bottom for 25-500

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. And I may be down to these two as my final choices for edge spots (I found the Maroon 5k and am really liking it). Let me know what you guys think.

Of the two, the bottom row. Not a huge fan of the maroon 5k but if you love it roll with it. Great choice on the dayglo tiger chip.

Bottom row.

Apologies. Haven't brought up much for these tables for ages. Will try to better my manners. But if samples become available, mewants.
Bottom row FTW :)

I gotta go bottom row. Be aware, Maroon does not look that bright in real life. Spend the dough and get the samples first!

Samples should be arriving soon although of course I hadn't asked for maroon.

Here's my best suggestion for colors and spots (using most of your colors with a few slightly different spot orientations, which can make a huge visual difference):

Orange is a pretty common color for tournament T1000 chips (I used retro blue, it's a much prettier color than dark blue). Gray is also used a lot for tournament T5000 chips (pink and yellow are not uncommon either - and this chip uses all three). I think this lineup will look even better with your custom artwork vs the stock inlays.

I still think that circle-square is your best mold choice for this set.

Everything right here^^

Not to be a thread-jack, but I just want to say that I sure wish custom hotstamps was still a possibility. I want some HS fracs. Lots and lots.

I could sit here all day and like/unlike/like/unlike this comment just because I agree with it so much! I don't know why, but I love hotstamps and a custom set of those would be the absolute nuts.

I thing BGinGA is spot on. shifting it back toward "traditional" colors, which I have an extremely strong preference for.

For the mold price, CircleSquare is a big win in my book over the HHR (reasons can be found in this thread http://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/your-personal-favorite-cpc-mold.7522/page-2), but I think you would be remiss to dismiss the scroll mold based on cost, given the river theme of the chip.

Thanks again for great suggestions. I have a little hesitancy with charcoal as the base color on the 5000 chip, mostly because I've seen similar base colors with very different edge spots get confused in our game. A grey base and a metallic yellow base got mixed, despite bright blue vs. brown edge spots. A player was not too thrilled to be missing a 5k chip in exchange for a 100 chip, understandably. So, I've come up with a few options that keep some of the flavor of BGinGA's post #80. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I like them both equally. If you want to be different, go with the blue.
