Anyone move back to an iPhone 5s (or SE) after using a 6 or 6+? (3 Viewers)

Great idea! Totally agree with heated seats, game changers when you are cold. Same with Tivo, I thought having a dvr meant that you watched too much tv and since I watch barely anything that isn't a live sporting event or poker on tv I would never need one...turns out if they were to ever take my dvr away from me I might just shrivel up and die.

Also, I guess cell phones themselves, from total novelty to mostly standard issue now a days...

The other choice is Bluetooth headphones. Wireless everything, man. Although I have spent a fair amount of change on wireless bluetooth headphones to jog with and still prefer my wired headphones.

I am a big screen guy all the way. I love my 6 plus. I do relatively little one-handed (texting while driving?) anyway. Older eyes like larger text.

I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on headphones and I still don't have any Bluetooth headphones that I would consider excellent quality. I use them for yardwork and sometimes when jogging if I'm outside. On a treadmill I still prefer wired.

Even at the poker table I thought Bluetooth would be my saving grace of dealing wires tangling around but I still find myself going back to my favorite wired sets.

Have you tried the Klipsch bluetooth earbuds? The appear to be the same design as my Klipsch wired earbuds, but I've been hesitant - because I too have been hugely disappointed by every bluetooth headset so far, and am now unwilling to throw another $100 away for something that will sit in a drawer forever.

That's at least three of us with that same opinion. I am sure bluetooth headsets will work out at some point.
I have always wondered why they don't make the equivalent of an iPod shuffle built into a set of wireless earbuds (two earpieces connected by a wire).

I haven't tried the earbuds but I have tried the Klipsch on-ear Bluetooth headphones. I think they were called the X-1s or something. They were one of the better on-ear sets I bought. But like the vast majority of the others I ended up selling them.

Bluetooth may be fine for TV, but most of my headphone time is while I'm mowing. I need the noise cancellation quality as well as high end musical reproduction.

I've had a 6s since it came out and I didn't think too much about it. I liked the bigger screen and noticed that it was a bit more cumbersome to reach around the screen, but it didn't strike me as a huge problem.

But last night I had occasion to fiddle with an old iPhone 5 and holy shit I was loving it. Everything within easy reach, I could cradle the bottom on my pinky and still hit the top of the screen with no problem whatsoever. It was like I had forgotten this was even possible.

When I went back to my 6s it was only that much more obvious that operating it with one hand wasn't quite comfortable. And now I'm thinking of trading in for an old 5s or a new SE. Anyone else moved backwards or considered it?

Android user here, but have been researching a new phone for Karen lately. She already has an iPad, but wants something smaller than my Note5. The SE seems to be a logical choice for her, and if you like the 5s size and 6s features, it makes a pretty compelling case for a better phone than the 5s for lot less $$ than a 6s.

It is definitely a better phone than the 5s, if that's the size she wants it would be perfect imo, not that there isn't an android phone that is about the same size though. The regular Galaxy 7s aren't that big, are they?

I feel for her - I still miss my old flip phone. It fell out of my pocket when I was doing inverted rappelling off a 5 story building. It still worked. No iPhone is going to accept that sort of abuse.

I have a Speck case and tempered glass screen protector and have survived 10' drops onto asphalt, and 5' drops with just the screen protector onto tile, including the dreaded perfect flat hit on the screen. No damage.

5 stories is another level though.

My office building has a 4th floor patio on the roof. Probably bad career move to bring a bunch of guys there to do this though.

Landed on concrete. Survived defined by I could still use the phone and camera (that's all it did). It was damaged - the hinge broke on 1 side so I could no longer snap it open like a Star Trek communicator, but I could gingerly open and close it for a few more months while I did cell phone research, and wait for a sale.

As soon as my wife's retirement is official at the end of this month, I need to replace our two old Droid Razr Maxx HDs so I was looking at phones while up in DC.

For older (blind) folks like us, the SE display is just too small. Smaller than the 4.7" HD display. Not a contender at all.

Just looked at the unveiled details of the new iPhone. LO fucking L that it is progress in any respect to remove the headphone jack. I love my iPhone and I can't imagine jumping ship to Android, but it's more than mildly insulting that Apple expects us to believe that this model warrants movement from iPhone 6 to iPhone 7.

I guess joke's on me, though, since I still have an iPhone and will continue to buy them.

I held off upgrading my 5s to a 6s last year, in large part because I was hoping the 7 would be worth the wait.

Not sure it was (worth the wait), but I'll be picking up a 7 once they're available.

It's certainly worth the upgrade from the 5s and definitely preferable to have any form of water resistance, but honestly I think I would prefer my 6s to the 7 so I could keep the headphone jack.

Probably the 7, not the 7 plus. Cost isn't a consideration, I just don't (think) I want something that large. Going from the 5s to the 7 is going to be a decent jump in screen size for me, and I never had a particular issue with the size of my current screen.
