Hard to figure out which one is the more expensive hobby - pins or chipping? Me any girlfriend love playing pinball on the weekends. Whats your favorite pin and high score?

I have lusted after these for decades. But the deal with my wife is I get my office/man cave. I can put whatever I want in it. BUT, I can't have the guest room, dining room nor living room for my hobbies.

I can fit my office, files and poker table/chips in the man cave. But not enough space for my 1913 pool table nor any pinball machine.

Probably just as well, vintage pinball machines need a fair amount of on-going maintenance My skill ends at plug it in -=- DrStrange

I have a LOT of money in chips... but more in my pins. Current lineup is Evil Dead, Rick & Morty, Medieval Madness, Wizard of Oz (Ruby Red), and Judge Dredd. Ive sold several lately including Halloween, Alice Cooper, and Scared Stiff.

I have had these 3 pins for a long time down in my poker room (The Simpsons, Pinbot and The Getaway 2). I'm a child of the arcade generation of the 80's!! I also love the vintage video games.

I really don't play them much anymore, likely because I need to get new ones into rotation. I suspect my buddies that come over for cards don't play them much any more for the same reason.

Nope. They are on wall switch so I can turn them all on or off when I’m down in my basement.

Old school . Target Alpha was my fave. Won Soccer in a tournament . The one where the back glass had balls that scored the bonus. Old Chicago was another good one as was magnetron . Best thing about having your own is setting the tilt do you can really play real pinball. If you don’t play with your power finger, you’ll improve when you switch over. If you don’t know which finger that is, you’re probably some dopey millennial or sorry ass Gen Z er

I LOVED playing Funhouse in the early 1990s. I'd probably buy one of those if I could...but I'm not handy enough to do the maintenance required.

Pinball is definitely the more expensive hobby. Since I can't afford to buy and maintain any real machines, I get lots of enjoyment out playing Virtual Pinball on my PC, the community makes some unbelievable recreations of the originals. Next closest to the real thing you can get IMO. Nothing will compare to a real game though. Monster Bash is one of those classics with high replay value. T2, Taxi, Johnny Neumonic, Cactus Canyon, Police Force, Dracula, World Cup Soccer, so many great games.

They made a lot of Tomcat machines back in the day, so there are still plenty out there. It's an addictive game for sure.

Have a lot of fun on Getaway and the others in that theme, been lookin to play Pinball Party Simpsons (the other one) but its so hard to find. We went to ohio couple weeks ago and got to play Safecracker up there, such a rare pin and they the coin dispensor working, was so cool.

I love Addams family and Creature from the Black Lagoon.

I always drain out on the multiballs on BOTH those games so fast, no ball save on them makes it hard to get far, I always short plunge on the addams family, otherwise it can be hard to control (I do the same thing on Funhouse too)

That Chicago is lit up real nice. I like hitting the spinners on those classic machines and watching the poinits fly
