Well, with the sale in a few hours (weeeee!) still trying to figure out how many chips to get. I'd want to get a set that would cover me for both a $1/2 or $2/4 limit game and a .25/.50 Pot Limit Omaha with $1 bring-in. Both games usually have 6-8 players max. Buy-ins are usually between $20 - $50. Though I'd also like to be able to expand to a $1/$2 no limit game occasionally.

This is what I have so far as a breakdown:

400 × $1
300 × $5
80 × $25
20 × $100

Any suggestions or alterations would be appreciated!

My personal experience is having Monday morning regrets when I go back to add-on and find what I need sold out.

More is better. No one ever complains they bought too many chips -=- DrStrange

I'm leaning more to making this my "high stakes" set now. May add one or two more racks of $1s. Decisions, decisions!!

Worst case you will have to find someone who will buy your $1 chips for $0.49/ea -- probably not a very hard thing to do.

you are good for no limit. for limit, I would add on 4-6 more racks of 1s.

I don't know a lot about limit. Why would that require significantly more $1's for only 6-8 players?

Well for 1/2 and 2/4 especially 5s aren't much good, you will have to make change on every bet. I would say a minimum of 80 chips per player but 100 is better.
