All things Lars (2 Viewers)

What an incredible facility. (y) Thanks for the photo shots, Mike.

Dude, I want more pics of that wall-o-chips, @Lars!

I'm not saying what I saw or providing anymore pics than I have. I said this to his guys last night. Kurt is a quiet and humble guy and they are playing with the best poker equipment possible on this planet. No need to light up his inbox.

Very jealous, what a great setup. I showed my wife the outside shot, then inside photo and her reaction was "Whaaaaaaaaaaat...."

Some additions to The Shed coming soon, they're all finished up and pretty much ready to ship, the edges have been painted since and just waiting for the paint to dry.

There was a discussion at The Rumble about whether or not people like cupholders in the table. The main complaint was that of drinks basically being in your way. When I got home I tried to come up with a solution to minimize the bottles interference with dealing and just general play. I decided to drill a hole through a large cup holder and insert a regular size cup holder through the bottom. You basically need a drill and a hole saw with a removable arbor. You put the large cup holder on a board and press down on it with both of your feet. You take the drill bit that is in the arbor and drill a hole in the center of the cup. You then install the whole saw on the arbor and cut the hole for the small cup holder. I used a 2 5/8 inch hole saw. You then take your small cup holder and place it on the top of a two x two board and press the larger cup holder down over the small cup holder. I thought about taking pictures in case somebody else wanted to try it but I ended up doing it after work one night in the dark. If somebody wants to try this and my instructions don't make sense just send me a message and I can explain further or try to send some photos. I love how they turned out they are perfect.

Very cool! Next question is does that then interfere with your knees or "jewels" where you sit?

Meet up??? We were talking about trying to get a group to drive out from Denver, play one night, then return to start The Great Divide outside Denver. It's only an 8 hour drive y'all.

I don't know if anyone in the CO crew would be in good enough shape to drive 8 hours, after a night at "The Shed". How much is an uber from Lars Place back to Denver?;)

Nope. I will measure everything tomorrow but no it doesn't create any interference issues.

I'd drive it and have 2 seats open. If I get 4 hours of sleep from 4am to 8 am, I'm good to go.

@Lars I was talking to Jonelle tonight at the Wasatch Academy mixer and she said you won your first BBQ competition trophy. Let's see it man!

Yes, we participated in the Wild West BBQ Shoot Out in Wendover Nevada. We did better in every category than have done previously. There were teams from Florida, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Nevada and Utah. We placed 10th in ribs. I was pretty excited to get a call and am hoping to get some practice this winter so that we can enter more contests next year hopefully having even more success.

Can anyone other than Slisk250 tell where the S from my The Shed sign came from?

Horseshoe?

Closer, but still no cigar.....

Okay.....

Not Sam's Town, not the S in Circus Circus, not Silverbird. I'm guessing it's from a downtown casino, but I can't find it.

Not sure about the S but the whole set up is very impressive. If you ever do a meetup I know I will be there! I love me some good BBQ!
