This is just stupid. A community with sales based on trust and we’ve got a notorious offender. He should be called out the first and second time this happens and the third time he should just be thrown out

I have found most people in this forum to be very helpful and kind when dealing with new members. I'm glad you don't represent the majority.

Everyone was once a “new member” , so I agree with this one. And everyone make mistakes but to be honest placing dibs and not following up is nothing compared to having people pay you and not communicate back to them and not ship their chips / products that they paid you for on time let alone 3 times in a row. However , both are not good behaviors and I learned from my mistakes on pm people for their chips and then change my mind later on. In the end , I think there’s more good than bad on this forum and I hope everyone’s chips will arrive soon or later. Wish you all a bright 2021 and happy chipping year ! Greets from Holland

Sounds like we need a classifieds committee, that reviews every sale to make sure no one is getting ripped off and that no one is leaving value on the table. This committee could also decide who has sale privileges, and if there is any issues can cancel sales if they might be sketchy. They should also have the power to levy fines and punishments for major and minor infractions for any classified rules, no matter how vague. This committee would settle dibs vs pm, and set limits for vendor sales as well. Just need some volunteers

He was called out the first and second time. We were all here. But everyone was made whole, some more then whole. I don't remember anyone not getting anything... (But, hey, I could be wrong there.)

Listen, I'm all for everyone getting there pint of blood when he shows. But we all know nothing.... Maybe a kid died. Maybe everyone got Covid. Maybe a comet fell and crushed his house. More than once is a trend, for sure. Deaths, incarceration, and hospitalizations occurred (not an excuse, just stating for those wondering). Nothing to do with $, I have thousands that is sitting out there with others in chips, tables, chairs, and more.

Many chips were shipped out a bit ago, not necessarily from this sale. (Everything was packed up many moons ago, between this, other sale, privates, and giveaways). Half for this sale was out this week, the last half will be out Jan. 5th when I have access to them again.

Won't be posting beyond this. Won't be selling or buying out of respect for others. Apologies to those that I've burdened. Not arguing one bit that I'm unable to responsibly participate in a hobby such as this at this time in my life. I wish everyone the best of luck, and will make sure to chase down privately any loose end where I might have an outstanding debt.

No excuse, just making sure everyone gets their stuff and staying away. For those that "want answers", I'm more than happy to share privately with Ben or James, and they can corroborate, but beyond that am afraid I can't offer more.

I have many outstanding chips, racks, etc. I won't sell, and can't promise to get through every message soon, but if you know I have what you need, just send me a note and I'll attempt to get them out for free. Not me attempting to "make right", just simply not wanting to draw attention later and post and don't have any use/need for many things.

edit: It will be some time to work through messages and such. Apology to anyone I put out, and honest deepfelt apology to those that have previously put trust in me and felt derided or foolish in that placed trust. While it means nothing to most, please know that it truly does weigh heavily on me. Leaving this behind is more of a big deal to me than I'd guess many would imagine, and I just wish that my actions reflected that.

I spent several days at a couple meet ups playing cards and hanging out with you. All I can say is this, first and foremost I’m glad you are alive and ok, second, I’d like to say that the time I’ve gotten to spend with you in person has been lots of fun. You’ve always been very gracious.
I have no skin in the game as far as the deals you had with other members, so while I can understand peoples disappointments, I just wanted to take a second to wish you all the best going forward.

For the record I am Team save @BarrieJ3 ! I absolutely agree when he returns a ban from classifieds for 3 months seems appropriate! Most would probably move on, but I know what this forum means to Jeff!

@ekricket is also a friend and fanatic gentleman... I get what you meant Kevin even if others do not!

Everyone saying use the feedback system as a warning... have you looked at his over 2 years of praise feedback?

All this this is the third time... and his only negative feedback with an argument with a kid prior to this event. Why.... why no negative feedback if "this is the third time and we want him crucified!!!" If this man didn't make good then his feedback would be destroyed!

I do not condone what happened here, I say leave negative feedback, warn others of your bad experience. But if you eventually get your chips, he made good.

Guys something happened to Jeff, I have his number and we talked on a regular basis! For months now he hasn't responded to text or calls. It has nothing to do with PCF I call this man my brother and would take a bullet for him! Would even walk away from this forum if it meant he got to stay! QUOTE me on that one.

Years of positive interactions and we have guys who have been members months, guys not even involved in this transaction screaming Ban HIm. If you knew him and knew what this forum means to him, how many times he has given away his best rack of chips because someone needs them to finish a set... no I didn'tsay sold, gave! How do I know? He has done it for me!

While trying to type this my long lost friend shows back up! A voluntary ban is the gentleman thing to do Jeff. I would love to see you hold you head high again in the community down the road brother! We all fall down, ask for a hand to get back up or I will carry you!!

I understand you backing a friend but here are my 2 cents because this is become another trying to get Barrie/Jeff reinstated.
Well sorry but the only reason his reputation & feedback was what it was...is that we have some crazy forgiving members that were willing to wave the previous 2 times things went south.....THAT and a good backing posse was the only reason.

But now, tell me... how can we ever accept nothing but the best of efforts and trust from seller and buyer, when we keep excusing a few sellers/buyers because the are a 'huge' asset to the forum ? F*ck that, we need to keep the integrity of the game... After all we are sometimes sending thousands of dollars on the blink of an eye.

There were more then a few issues and sales/auctions that went south...time to maintain a tight ship and cut the lose cannons because they spoil the fun for the rest....no exceptions

Again, I respect your loyalty to a good friend and you have been nothing but an upstanding member from the start.
